Biden questioned the number of deaths reported in Gaza, after which the health ministry came out with a report over 200 hundred pages long with personal information on the killed individuals.
24 journalists have been killed in 21 days.
Yesterday internet and phone services in Gaza went down, due to the heavy bombardments.
The voice of the people in palestine is being silenced in every way you can imagine.

We don’t know about anything that is happening in other districts in the territory. Maybe there are new bombardments taking place in these areas. We don’t know how many victims. We can only hear bombardments everywhere, but we don’t know any anything about the casualties, about the situation on the ground. We don’t know anything also about the medical conditions of doctors, medical workers, even at the Al-Shifa Hospital [the largest in Gaza]. The situation is catastrophic right now. We can no longer communicate with the international community to send our voice to the world to know what is happening on the ground. I hope that this message might reach and have an access to the world despite what we have experienced throughout the last hour. We are now in a hospital and we are going to be live by satellite as much as we can and every single hour. So please, if you can hear us, send that message to the world that we are isolated now in Gaza. We don’t have any phone signals. We don’t have any internet connections. We found great difficulty even to communicate and contact with our relatives in different parts of the territory. Journalists here, even the citizens inside the hospital, they don’t have any access to the networks. They don’t have any kind of communication even with their neighbors. There is a great problem in the network connections. We don’t know how it’s dropped. We don’t know if it was targeted. The situation on the ground is really terrible. Everyone is afraid, everyone is terrified. Please ,guys, if you can hear us send this message to the world that we are becoming isolated. Al Jazeera currently only has sporadic communication with correspondents in Gaza following the latest strikes on the besieged enclave.

Some of the many things I loved about Iron Widow were the feminist themes and condemnation of sexual violence. It has been disconcerting for me to then see you refuse to condemn rape, torture and murder happening to real people because of the actions of their government.
It is very easy to condemn the horrific attack made by Hamas where they gunned down teenagers at a music festival and burned people alive in their homes, and at the same time condemn the Israeli government for their treatment of Palestinians. War crimes are never an acceptable response to any situation. Anyone who thinks they are as long as they're being committed against the "right" people is just a bigot.

If you actually believe that "War crimes are never an acceptable response to any situation," your priority should be on calling the Israeli government to stop the completely disproportionate atrocities they're committing instead of demanding every single person speaking up for Palestinians to first performatively include a disclaimer that they don't condone Hamas and how heartbroken they are by the Oct 7 attack. If you can't bear to see support for Palestinians without bringing Hamas into it, the only explanation is that you think all Palestinian lives have been tainted by the Hamas attack and we must acknowledge the "taint" before saying they deserve to live. Also, that Israeli lives are somehow more important than Palestinian lives so they must get more coverage even though all of Western mainstream media is already focused on them and governments are giving Israel billions in aid to keep indiscriminately bombing innocent Palestinians in their name. If that's how you want to be, kindly burn your copies of my books because you don't fucking get the point of them.

Having ancestors who were kicked out of their homes in Arab nations because they were Jewish... this stuff going on in Israel just hits different. Like... why did no one give a shit about ethnic cleansing and apartheid in the Middle East when it was happening to Jews? (It is still happening to Jews btw) Oh wait. We know the answer. No one ever cares about the Jews.
People only see Jews as either weak and meek, or oppressive victors. The truth is we make up 0.2 percent of the population, and have been violently removed from nearly every land we have called our own.

It's like people suddenly feel the need to be antisemitic to prove they aren't Islamophobic, which is stupid. You should be neither of those things.
Hamas sends rockets to Israel and MANY fail, land in Gaza, and the media includes it in the destruction from counter attacks by Israel. They launch rockets from the roofs of schools. They use children as shields. Palestinians deserve better than Hamas.
20% of Israel citizens are (non-Jewish) Arab and have the same access to education and medical and jobs as every other citizen. MANY Gazans worked in Israel before the war. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East that give queer people and women equal rights under the law.
It's obviously appropriate and encouraged to educate yourselves on the conflict, especially if you're going to share things. But keep in mind how deeply rooted antisemitism is in society before you just willy nilly pick a side. The loudest voice is not always the right one. Actually it's rarely the right one. At only 0.2% of the worlds population, Jews cannot afford to stand down. Every single time in history we have there has been mass murder of my people. Pogroms, expulsions, the holocaust. So so so much more than is taught in schools.
There use to be so many Arab Jews, but no one cried in the streets for my people.
