have you ever met a man who literally physically cannot speak to a woman. i used to think that shit was hyperbole but one of my housemates has refused to have a single conversation with me in the 8 months that i’ve lived here, it’s WILD. i’ll see him in the kitchen and be like “hey how’s it going” and he will straight up act like he didn’t hear me. can’t chalk it up to just social anxiety or neurodivergence bc he regularly speaks to the other housemates (all men). when a new guy moved in and asked him about everyone in the house, he claimed to not even know what my name is LMAO. sir we are in a group chat together...... my name is in your phone. anyway at first i figured he disliked me bc he decided i look dykey or feminist or whatever (he is openly homophobic and has unironically dropped the “blue-haired liberals” line) but he behaves the same way with my guests too? like, no response when they introduce themselves. from my hyperfeminine sister to my hijabi friend…... the only common denominator is Not A Man. dudes are really out here unlocking new levels of misogyny every day
