Gong Yoo was appointed as an ambassador for UNICEF Korea on October 8th 2014, and he visited Cambodia in order to meet with Cambodian children, and check their social rights.

Gong Yoo is the first person who was appointed as children’s right ambassador for UNICEF Korea, and he is promoting protection of children’s social rights, protection, development, and participation.

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world, and their child exploitation is at a serious degree.

During his visit to Cambodia, Gong Yoo met up with children in three different regions, and took a look around their living environments.

He also gave special messages to children who are suffering from various diseases and abuse, and filed a video called ‘End Violence.’

Gong Yoo said, “I believe that UNICEF should continue sending aids so that every child can grow in much better environment.”

He also said, “I learned many things while watching the children never losing their smile even in such inferior environments.”
