Honestly, it’s nice to sometimes come back and see some stuff, but I’m so far behind, I don’t have the energy to find out everything that’s happened in the past 5 years, which means I’d rather stay away.
I have this thing where I need to be up to date with everything, like look at my tags page. Have to know the dates etc of when something happened. Not healthy.
But I sometimes stalk, and see that cockles is still very happy??

BUT (and I’m gonna copy an answer i gave to another ask some time ago)
I think what struck me with Cockles was that they tried to always hide their close relationship. Well, maybe, hiding is a bad word, but we really didn’t hear much about them going out together, or them going out for dinners with their families together, we didn’t hear stories about them hanging out together outside of set.
Jared and Jensen have always been very public when it comes to their relationship. When they spend christmas together - you will hear it at a convention for example. And there’s always lotta fan pictures when they hang out, or Clif will post a picture of them etc.
With Misha and Jensen you hear dinner stories that are 3 years old, and even then it’s kind of in the context of something else. Or you hear it from a third party. Or you hear a story that was previously said before but now they ‘reveal’ that the other was there as well (eg Vatican).
The first Cockles ring was such a weird concept for a lots of people in the fandom, because Jensen and Misha never seemed to be that close for Jensen to give Misha a ring back then, for example (well that’s still weird lol).
Or when this one article in 2011 just casually put “now that Misha has a son, Jensen spends even more time at Misha’s house”. How, what, when did he spend time at Misha’s place…
Or like when Danneel said that Vicki and Misha really supported her and J with the FamilyBusiness.
Or like the pic of their girls together, like when, what how.
It’s all just very random. It could be that it’s so very rarely that it happens, so thats why we don’t hear much. But it’s still weird when people ask stories from M and J, and they are like ‘Oh, idk *blushing*, lets retell this on set story we’ve told 100 times, because that dinner date was too romantic to tell and i don’t want people knowing me and Misha and Danneel eat out together”.
Edit: also, I think that jibcon, when the fan asked if they really hate Misha because people say that, and the way J reacted, says all too. Like, idk, but that really changed a lot for J imo.
Zac being kinda horrified of the pie prank Jared pulled on Misha.

I remember when they used to say that J/2 will announce their relationship after spn ends. It hasn’t even been six months (or has it?) and they’ve moved on to when Walker ends. I think that shows everything there is to J/2 and their shippers - deep down they know it’s not real. They’ve wasted 12 to 15 years of their lives on them and it’s hard to accept the fact that they are wrong. You see it in other fandoms/ships as well.
I think Cockles is a little bit easier because most of us have never thought that Jensen and Misha are gonna end up together as family. Or I’m just trying to make my ship look better lol. :)
