So after much thought and research I have decided to finish my fashion design course at the end of this year, meaning I’ll be graduating with an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design. I still want a future in the fashion industry so I’m applying to study fashion business starting next year. As much as I’ve enjoyed my course, I know I don’t want to be a designer and the further into the course I get, the more designed based it is and I find myself enjoying it less and less. I absolutely loved all the work experience I’ve done so I know my future is in fashion, but I’m just taking a slightly different route than planned.

F.I.T Flea Market

Beautiful weather today in NYC, not too hot; just the right amount of breeze, and good amount of sun (Thank god for no burning sunshine; running for any shade that the sun has yet to see: as if the sun literally feels like it is right above you.) Perfect weather to go walking on 6th/7th avenue and visit various of shopping areas. But for us in FIT who are super busy during the day, flea markets are hosted here at the school every 2 weeks or so on Thursday between 12pm-2pm.

It is usually extremely crowded with students but with good reason; all the items are just too gorgeous to pass by. Tables of custom necklaces and pendants, eye-catching rings (need to buy a couple next time for my collection). Loads of shoes, bags, and vintage items (spotted a couple of Chanel logos in there). The jewelery usually prices from $5-$30, the bags, shoes, and clothes price from $10-$60.

*Note to self: bring CASH for the next flea market. Need to buy rings, rings, and more rings.
