Here’s to hoping Robby and Tory get together. 🥂 🥂 🥂

Robby deserves someone who can understand his pain and who can be there for him when things get tough.

Unlike Sam (who he put on a pedestal) and yet she treated him like garbage.

Bevie vs Huma
(Blue Domain)

My two sides of the same coin.

Evie is more active in the conversation. And Ben is a hopeless romantic. Evie's smile is what Ben considers that makes her so beautiful.

Harry is so extra, dancing between danger and devotion. And Uma is like "WTF?" but deep down she likes that he's like that.

I love them.

Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Bevie | Ben Florian/Evie Grimhilde (Descendants)

Requested by anonymous

Ben gives her a funny look, then ducks his head as he laughs. Evie stares at him, open-mouthed. Her face begins to flush as he tries to apologise and compose himself.

"What?" she demands. "What did I say?"

"Nothing! It's..." He clears his throat and looks up at her from beneath his lashes. God, it's unfair for them to be so naturally pretty. She would kill for eyelashes like that.

Oh no. She's staring. She is definitely staring, and he probably thinks she's really weird. She tries to keep her face a mask of offence rather than admiration.

"You..." Ben's tongue pokes out between his lips and he looks away from her, cheeks dimpled with a smile. "Well, you called me cute."

Her neck and face burn harder than before with the flames of utter embarrassment. She bites down on her tongue as she tries to think of how to salvation this humiliation; what would her mother do?

Well, for her it wouldn't be an embarrassment. She would grasp this moment between her wrinkled little claws and brainwash the pretty prince into marrying her and making her queen. That's what she would say to her. Charm him. Make him fall in love.

"Oh," she breathes, then swallows. Her throat's oddly scratchy. She flexes her fingers in her lap, finding comfort in the familiar material of her dress. "Um... sorry?"

"No, it's fine," Ben says with a shrug. "Not often I hear that, so I'll take it, even if it was an accident."

He flashes her a grin. Her mother hisses in her head like a poisonous little snake. She's doing it without even trying, he's falling for her.

Except he's not. He's her friend. He's a prince. He's Ben. The soon-to-be King of Auradon. Of course he isn't falling for her, how could he? She's an airhead with a wicked witch of a mother. At least, that's what everyone else has been saying since she got to Auradon.

"Hey, you okay?" Ben asks, putting down his own pen as he peers at her in concern. "It's really not a big deal. It's an easy mistake. Learning a new language is really hard."

"No one else here seems to find it hard," she mutters bitterly. Why can she not just be like the rest of them? By all rights, she's supposed to be a princess, and yet she has never felt more like an outsider than she does in a castle full of royalty.

"Hey." Ben reaches out and rests a hand on top of hers. She freezes, unsure of what to do. "It's not just you, I promise. Everyone has trouble with something. Just, no one likes to admit it."

She wants to believe him. To believe that it really isn't just her who has these problems and that everyone else isn't as perfect as they seem. After all, everyone for so long thought her own mother was a perfect queen, perfect wife and perfect stepmother until the illusion shattered like a broken mirror.

"So, it's taking some time to learn a new language," Ben continues softly. "That's normal. In fact, it took me an extra three months more than everyone else to learn how to talk at all. My father blames it on my mama's insistence on me learning both French and English."

Evie finally looks at him, surprised. He smiles and nods to confirm he's being entirely honest. She's not sure he's even capable of telling a lie. He's far too good and honest for that. Like his mother, she's heard.

"And, not only that, but I had to spend months practising to even get on the Tourney team. As it turns out, I'm not a natural at sports."

"No," Evie says, now certain he must be exaggerating, but he nods even more firmly. "But -- you're amazing at Tourney! You're the captain of the team!"

"Because I kept practising," Ben says. "I worked really hard. And while it really bothered me that Chad and Li'l always seemed to just know what they were doing on the field while I would be falling over or kicking grass, I didn't let it stop me."

He raises his eyebrows pointedly and she gets what he's trying to say.

She takes a deep breath, filling her lungs with air while he fills her head with confidence. He's right. It was one little mistake. Hardly the end of the world. She just needs to keep trying. Eventually, it'll all be worth it.

"Okay," she says, and he smiles brightly, taking his hand back to pick up his pen again. She oddly misses the feeling of it on her own. "So, what did I say?"

"Tu es mignon," Ben says so smoothly. "Your pronunciation was great, though, especially since you didn't even know what you were saying."

She repeats what he said, then smiles to herself proudly. "Well, at least I now know one phrase. And it makes you smile, so it's obviously a good one to know."

Ben shakes his head lightly at her as he laughs again. She swears his own cheeks look rather flushed. He isn't protesting the compliment though.

"I should still probably teach you how to say something other than that, though. Like... Je ne peux pas m’empêcher de penser à toi."

Evie blinks. "Uh... could you maybe... say that again... slowly?"

Ben just smiles to himself like he has some inside secret, rubbing at his bottom lip with his thumb. "It's okay, we'll get there in time. Let's stick to the basics for now. Sound good?"

She breathes a sigh of relief and nods, smiling back at him as she poises her pen once again over her paper. "Yes."

"J’aime ton sourire," Ben exhales softly.

Before she can ask for a translation and a repeat, he brushes it off and begins explaining simple greetings to her, and the way that verbs and nouns and pronouns all work in French. They're probably sitting there in the library going over it for at least an hour or two more, with Evie actually laughing at her mistakes but not getting upset over them.

my unpopular descendants opinions  All three movies

These are my opinions not facts and like stated above they’re unpopular there’s a chance your favorite character might be came for or a scene you felt strongly about, I strongly disagreed with. I’m not stating really obvious things either like: Ben shouldn’t have been crowned King at 16.

  • * Jane got off lightly. She was just as much of a bitch to the Vks as Audrey was but she’s generally the one forgiven.
  • I think Jane is fake, she’s on whoever is the winning team’s side EX: If Ben decided to date any other AK and Mal or Audrey she would’ve be friended them and ditched everybody else
  • Family day was overdramatic and you could definitely tell that they C4 were teenagers with their decision making
  • They had ONE bad day in Auradon after for the most part, being treated well and even becoming popular to the point they were questioning their decision
  • But ONE bad day and they decide to go through with taking over Auradon and it’s not like anybody was lying on them.
  • Sorry Queen Leah is another thing but Chad wasn’t lying about anything and for them to know he wasn’t and sit and get offended was dumb
  • They came over to Auradon with Bad intentions and got to roam around freely and took advantage of it
  • Mal did steal Audrey’s Boyfriend by drugging him, Jay was stealing, Evie was gold digging.
  • Evie shouldn’t have put her hand in his face if she didn’t want him to push it out of his face.
  • Because like I said above he wasn’t wrong, Evie didn’t really care too much about Chad as a person she was interested in the fact that he was a Prince.
  • Was it Prince behavior no? But was he 100% dead wrong no?
  • Audrey was really the one who started that fight at Family day too
  • Ben’s whole VK plan was messy when you take into account Leah’s reaction at family day.
  • The OG heroes should’ve at least been informed that their respective villains children were coming over so they were aware and a situation like Leah wouldn’t happen.
  • I mean Leah treats her own granddaughter like shit depending on who’s she is dating so she definitely wasn’t going to treat Mal any better but let’s say her reaction at family day was out of pure trauma.
  • It could’ve been avoided if she was informed and didn’t actually end up standing next to her enemy’s daughter.
  • Ben’s whole plan was dumb and messy.
  • Giving the VKs restrictions isn’t the same as punishing them for their parent’s crimes
  • Realistically speaking they were on the Isle taught solely by their villain parents and other villains so it would’ve been sense to ease into giving them trust.
  • Because looked how that turned out they tried to take over Auradon and their king got drugged all because they didn’t want the VKs to think they were being punished for their parent’s crimes.
  •   I think the VKs not getting any punishment for changing their minutes at the last minute was BS. Especially if these are the same people mad Audrey got off too.
  • The vks had ample time to change their minds, were considering dropping the plan and when they got in their feelings decided to go through with it.
  • They had everything to gain staying in Auradon and the only thing they lost was their abusive controlling parents
  • But they very much got rewarded for changing their mind on bad behavior last minute and it shows throughout the other movies.
  • That’s why they were so comfortable going in out of the isle without permission especially with the king unprotected.
  • Because they knew no matter what happened at the end of the day nothing would really happen to them because they had the king’s favor.
  • Evie was kind of a dick to me when she assumed Uma was going to destroy Auradon and that’s why she wanted the wand. I don’t completely not understand her thinking because She kidnapped Ben to get to the wand.
  • But no Uma had to have wanted to hurt somebody and not her wanting to get herself and any other kid off the Isle after they 4 of you unfairly got picked.
  • That’s another thing, it was dumb to pick the 4 ‘worst’ kids because how does that look to the other kids who might’ve wanted a better life.
  • The one’s who terrorize us here get to be the first ones to get the better things in life and later on we basically have to apply to even leave but also ass kiss the four of them to even get a chance.
  • Uma stans do acknowledge that she was wrong for spelling Ben but it’s often lighten/ brushed over.
  • We have to acknowledge the fact that Ben would’ve talked to Uma if she just attempted to after she jumped through the Barrier.
  • He wouldn’t have thrown her right back in he would’ve spoke to and defended her if she tried but she didn’t she went straight to the love spell
  • Lonnie is just as fake as Jane is when it comes to homie hopping.
  • She went fuck Ben and I stand with you Mal real quick for somebody who was supposed to have a sibling like relationship with him
  • Audrey turning villain was no surprise and I feel especially like the adults should hold themselves accountable more.
  • My opinion on this matter is biased, especially when comparing to how I’m digging into the VKs above but I’ll say because their actions are excused in canon and largely forgive in the fandom.
  • At the end of the day I know Audrey had other options than going rogue and she was wrong for that period.
  • But as fucked up as it sounds I don’t think she would’ve ever done that if it weren’t for her circumstances.
  • She would’ve lived a responsible life, spending her days cheerleading, and preparing for royal duties.
  • But instead not only did her relationship fall apart she was shunned.
  • Jane, Lonnie and everybody else stopped talking to her and favored Mal to the point where people were ignoring her when she spoke and asking why she showed up to Jane’s birthday party.
  • So of course in her mind Dating Ben/ Being next in line for Queen= being treated like a human.
  • Because all of these people ignoring her were kissing her ass when she was with Ben
  • Girl had depression and flunked in school and had to take summer school because it was fucking her up.
  • continuously she was straight up ignored whenever she said something because she wasn’t seen as anything to be worried about
  • Straight up insulted by adults she probably looked up to (Belle)
  • And when people (her grandma) did speak to her it was to tear her down and degrade her.
  • So she became a threat and something they can’t straight up ignore anymore.
  • Ideally I’d like for that to happen by her thriving and living her best life but she had to choose evil.
  • That whole let’s get along bs Evie was doing the entire movie was a waste of time.
  • If Mal decided Uma and her crew were enemies, Evie and the other 2 yes Men would’ve turned on Uma and did as Mal said.
  • So she shouldn’t be surprised nobody wanted to be kumbaya with them
  • Nobody forced or pressured Mal to close the barrier
  • A large part of it was her not wanting anybody to find out her daddy was Hades.
  • She straight up says she did it for them (the c4) and the lives they had there
  • Auradon being safe or any of the VKs were not her priority when she made the decision.
  • Ben’s little “so have I” irked me because if anybody should’ve been talked to her in three years it should’ve been you
  • Him thinking she was fine because she rebounded with chad is one thing but literally watching her not only fade from his life but Auradon period and being MIA after being together all the time and had no clue???
  • Guess he was too busy dealing with Mal’s bs
  • Headcanon Mal still has him spelled.
  • Hades little speech was bullshit, he earned his punishment and so did all of his fellow villains
  • Compared to him Audrey was literally a ticking time bomb everybody ignored because they didn’t care and they fucked around and found out.
  • and not only that the daughter he was standing in front of saying this played a big part in it so you might want to shut up.
  • Mal did what she did out of malice, I refused to believe her “I didn’t mean to” bs when it comes to Audrey because Audrey’s name stayed in her mouth whenever she was talking shit.
  • Audrey was correct in not getting a punishment not because her actions were a result of the adults failing to notice her depression and other kids contributing to it but simply because nobody else did
  • C4 weren’t punished in D1 Mal was never punished for her fuck shit, Uma and her friends weren’t given formal punishments from what I understand (especially with it being a known fact Uma spelled Ben for her own gain unlike Mal’s lying ass saying she did it for love. She was wanted to be captured though I believe)
  • So why should Audrey out of everybody be the only who got a formal punishment, I think not
  • Audrey being kumbaya with them at the end was too soon, she should’ve left Auradon, healed and never spoke to them again.
  • Because like I said she was at first a ticking time bomb and now that she exploded everybody wants to be civil now?
  • She needed new friends a new life everything.
  • Uma too, she shouldn’t have to be friends with Mal either
  • C4 forgiving Mal for her decision to shut the barrier down was not their place in my opinion.
  • Of course you’ll forgive her because it really isn’t doing anything to you having it shut down especially Evie she got the kid she wanted off of there
  • This wasnt about them this was about the kids who didnt even have the choice nor would they be aware of it, had Mal went through it
  • It wasn’t about C4 and their hurt feelings about Mal lying
  • Do I even need to say them taking down the barrier was dumb?
My problem with Mal Bertha from Disney Descendants
I know that probably nobody is gonna read this but idc.
I think enough time has pass, so it's time to have this conversation. Mal is the worst character from all the franchise (ik this might upset some people since she is the protagonist but she's is a horrible person and that has to be acknowledged)
This is going to be based in the movies, books and the mini series
Also I want to make clear that this is not against Dove Cameron(that's gonna be for another post) . With that being said let's start.

1) She's a bully

This is the most obvious reason and it makes me mad that she gat away with it.

During the book and movies she bullied Evie, Carlos, Uma, Mad Maddy and Jane

in the first book she basically ruined Evie's life just because The Evil Queen didn't invite her to Evie's sixth birthday. First made her mother (Maleficent) put under home arrest Evie and her mom for literally 10 year and when the girl finally get the courage to get out of her house thinking that everything is forgotten, Mal tried to killed her multiple times

Mal literally locked Evie in Cruella's closed during Carlos's party knowing that they were traps in there and she could have been extremely injured (that was actually her plan but luckily Carlos saved Evie)

And that's not even the worst, because Mal was also planing on using Evie to get Maleficent's scepter back by letting her grab the scepter and get the same curse that maleficent gave to Aurora (fall sleep for 100 years).

And mentioning Carlos's party I need to add that kinda threatened him to make the party just so she could have her "revenge". It's important also to mention that Carlos didn't wanted to make the party because that would have caused problems with his mom.

And the worst about this is that they both ending being her friends like nothing happened and being Mal's minions for the rest of their lifes

And some people in the fandom dare to call Evie "a bad friend" In the last to movies just because she stand up to Mal.

Maddy and Uma are kind of the same but in different ways

Because Mal was bestfriends with both but then betrayed them and humiliated then like the Judas she is.

(But Evie is the bad friend?)

With Maddy she literally threw lye on her, completely ruining her hair, forcing her to change her hair from purple to aqua green just because Mal felt like she should be the only purple hair girl on the Isle.

As I said Uma was a similar case because Mal also ruined her hair by throwing a bucket of shrimps on her, leaving the stink on her her forever and then maked fun of her because of that calling her "shrimpy"

NO WONDER WHY THEY BOTH HATE HER

Jane was an insecure girl with no friends that was constantly bullied for her looks and Mal literally used that in her favor by manipulating her using every single one of her insecurities against her.

And at the end she just had to say "I'm sorry" and everything was forgotten and she literally received no consequences. (And in some cases like Maddy and Uma' s she didn't even apologize)

And to finish this point I just want to mention that she was abusive to Ben and ALL AURADON KNEW IT, because Audrey in "Audrey's royal return mentions Mal's two attempts at spelling Ben. The first one is understandable to think that she knew that something was wrong with Ben and that she probably drugged him (which she did)

But how did she knew about the second one?

The only answer is that someone must have tell her about that and also that Mal run away to the isle opening the barrier and putting Auradon in danger and also causing Ben's (The king) kidnap

which mean that probably everyone in the kingdom knew about it AND DID NOTHING, not even Ben's parents, like why do you let your son get married with someone who us constantly putting him in danger?

And talking about the wedding and Mal being a bully just imagine the reaction of all of those children when they saw that their bully was gonna be their Queen. Life sucks!

2) she's a liar/ manipulator that victimize herself

If I could describe Mal in one word would be selfish because most of the time she only thinks about herself and what would be the best for her not minding if she affects others in the way.

I already mentioned how she manipulated Jane in the first movie

But now let's talk about the second movie

Basically this whole movie was her playing the victim when everything was technically her fault

  1. Ben calling her out by ILLEGALLY using her magic and then her victimizing herself by playing the Jughead Jones "I don't fit in" card
  2. Her running away indirectly causing Ben's kidnap and Uma's scape

Literally if she had just talk to Ben about how she felt instead of lying and using her magic to make everything easier for her, everything could have been avoided.

The third movie is when Mal selfishness and manipulative behavior is more noticeable

Let's star with Audrey becoming the villian in consequence for Mal giving Ben the love potion causing Ben not only dumping Audrey but also humiliating her in from of the whole school, so I'm sorry but she had every right to be mad at Mal.

Then, her wanting to close the barrier forever leaving all that innocent children to die in hunger and poverty just because she didn't wanna risk her perfect life in Auradon is just pure selfishness. Literally everyone else in the room thought that was a drastic solution.

To make it even worse she just lied to everyone for the rest of the movie.

She lied to Evie saying that was theirs idea and later when she gets caught she just plays the victim once again by saying she didn't have a choice and also confirming her selfishness by saying "I did it for us" NOT THE KINGDOM and even Evie's says that she did it for herself.

And do not forget how she lied to Uma, Harry and Gil by promising them that she was going to take all of the children from the isle to Auradon (even though she knew that that was never gonna happen) only for make them help her to defeat Audrey.

And in my opinion destroying the barrier was she stupidest decision ever made. The villains will try to get revenge.

But this is just my opinion.

Next I will be writing about my problem with the saga in general and I'll try to fix it. Follow me if you want to read it
