If you want to read an AMAZING book, read “Two Boys Kissing” by David Levithan.

His name might sound familiar if you read “Will Grayson, Will Grayson”. That’s because he wrote it with John Green. But I’m not here to talk to you about the author, I’m here to tell you why you should read “Two Boys Kissing.”

Basically, it’s the story of Craig and Harry who want to set the world’s record for longest kiss. It’s the story of Peter and Neil who are dating for now a year and you can see how they live their love. It’s the story of Avery and Ryan who just met and are wondering what will happen next. It’s the story of Cooper, who is alone and is to the point where he can’t feel anything anymore. You’ll also read about Tariq who might look like a random character, but is still really important.

Why you should read it:

It’s so different from any other love stories. It’s not a “I love him. I’m scared to tell him. He loves me back. We date.” or a “We are in love. We hate each other. We are in love again.” It’s far more interesting than that. All the love stories written in the book are special and unique.

Now, you might be thinking “Oh it’s 5 separated stories, divided by chapters.” No. There are no chapters. only spaces between paragraphs. The transitions between each stories are well written and it just flows. It could go from Craig/Harry to Cooper to Peter/Neil and back to Craig/Harry than to Avery/Ryan and back to Cooper. It just flows like that.

There are also great lessons to learn from this book. Especially at the end where I just… wow. The book is short (196 pages) and I wish it was longer. I wish I could read about those 8 characters forever.

Now close tumblr and go get yourself a copy of “Two Boys Kissing” by David Levithan.

Summary: Draco is content with his Snitches, with the tap tap tap of his hammer, and the tiny gears and sharp scent of metal in his workshop - until one day Harry Potter appears, asking for help to solve a rash of Snitch-tampering in the Quidditch world.
Career Choices: Harry: QUABBLE official (Quidditch representative); Draco: Snitch-maker

Review: Such a lovely fic, the details and plot settings were magical! I love how despite Harry and Draco having experienced all this pain and sacrifice, this is just the fluffiest, sweetest story about them falling in love and finding happiness.

All the characters were so IC and human and straightforward - *spoiler* I found Harrys treatment of his disability, as well as Dracos reaction to it extremely realistic. I usually have a lot of problems with the disability trope, I’ve seen first hand how they can affect people and get rather annoyed when authors either try to elevate all feelings about it when the characters falls in love, or make the characters fall into a dark, depressing, downward spiral until redeemed by the other.
