I thought Kitty Pryde was Jewish and that was very important to her. Why would she agree to marry Starlord? As he's not Jewish and intermarriage is not acceptable and invalid according to Jewish law. Good job Brevoort and Bendis. Make one character gay and at the same time make one not Jewish.

Ok, so I read a lot of books today, but I’m pretty sure either in the actual issue with the proposal or the Guardians of the Galaxy immediately following it, Kitty makes a point of telling Quill that she’s Jewish, and that her mother is going to kill him because he’s not. And from my limited knowledge of Judaism, isn’t the bloodline passed through the woman anyway? And Bendis IS Jewish, you’d think he’d know these things.
Also, Humphries wrote the issue and was the main creative force behind the whole storyline. Just another excuse for Bendis hate.
