AU idea of Mari getting the Butterfly miraculous…
I like to add stipulations to powers that seem a bit too OP, so for this, she’s basically deaf and mute with the miraculous on, and can only communicate once her Akuma/Butterfly has latched onto something. She has a little control of where the Butterfly goes, but can’t actually see what its doing, she can only sense what emotions are strongest, and from where. A bit like heat-vision but with emotions.
From there she can only see and hear what her chosen Champion takes in. As a result, fighting with this Miraculous is extremely difficult, if not impossible. I went with the name Nekydallon as it’s the ancient greek term for the chrysalis a butterfly emerges out of, and is considered the verb for a soul leaving a body. bananas
