I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here but for the last year and a half (with a couple of breaks for health) I’ve been redrawing my favourite Torchwood episode, Adam, scene by scene! I’m currently on day 167 and I’m in the middle of the scene in which Adam tortures Ianto with a head-full of false memories.
It’s called Project Adam and I try to update 3 times a week. I’ve only ever posted a handful publicly, most of them are exclusive to my Patreon supporters. I’m incredibly thankful for every bit of support, it helps me to be able to keep creating new art for everyone to enjoy 🖤
I also post most new pieces there a day or so before I share them anywhere else and I also used Patreon to share last year’s Inktober and a project I did back at the start of the year, Jack January (I think that’s pretty self explanatory! 😅)

A vital part of Ianto's canon characterisation (especially in the audios/extended universe, but also in the main show) is "ask for forgiveness not permission", and a lot of fic authors don't give him much of this and it makes me sad
No offence to Ianto but if someone smelled distinctly like aftershave and told me they smelled like that naturally i simply would not believe them immediately

you know what? rewatching torchwood has made me realise how poorly jack and ianto’s relationship was actually written imo. specifically they way they kept teasing jack/gwen until ianto fucking died.
That’s why the audios are so amazing and needed. Makes their relationship a lot deeper than they felt like showing in the series.

- even if he loves the movies, he used to keep a diary of all the time they said something wrong about space
- when the movies come out he’s always the first in line
- he waited more than 100 years, trapped between the 19th and 20th century, to watch them again
- he knows every line by heart
- when the team talks about the movies, it’s hard for him to not give any spoilers of the sequel trilogy, which is not out yet for them
- but for jack they’re a classic
- try not to spoil the iliad to someone

sorry im bringing this back but i have failed to mention that even if jack thinks he’s han solo he’s absolutely luke skywalker: both come from a place mostly made of sand (tatoonie and the boeshane peninsula), both have long lost siblings, both see their home being attacked and their family destroyed, both have so, so much to give to the galaxy
