i hate when people try to introduce ygo gx to people and entice them to it by saying it ‘gets good at season three, you can skip to there’ like no you cannot. even if you supplement them with any context they may need no one’s going to fully enjoy a show that they have to watch from the middle with no context. the first two seasons are important parts of what makes gx so fun and unique even if their plots- in the minds of the majority- aren’t as interesting or tight as season three or four.
it’s not endearing a person to a show to basically tell them the first two seasons are worthless.

PLEASE do some effort does edo and saiou look like healthy teens for you do you think ryou isn't hella (lol) depressed#WHY DO YOU THINK JUDAI WAS STANDING SILENTLY OVER A CLIFF AND GHOSTING HIS FRIENDS and why did everyone joined a cult#coming of age? edo again. saiou too in some ways. heck even judai and ryou!!#and i even prefer how s2 deals with those themes. maybe it's more due to my own tastes but idk i think it goes much deeper and more subtly#especially abt relationship. like s2 really acknowledge what can make a relationship unhealthy even if it's out of love#s3? well guess it wasn't judai nor yubel's fault doign such shit they did it out of luv :/#and like. keep on telling how s3 is so nd and gay cuz s2 is just as much#is it in s3 that fubuki is having an intense debate over who he will ship with judai between shou and kenzan? i don't think so#i sincerely think that s2 is a unique story much more than s3 is. s3 is a classic hero downfall#nothing exceptionnal#i mean its good but#it still is classic#SEASON TWO MEANWHILE ITS ANOTHER STORY
