Skylark - Alauda arvensis
Those birds have surprisingly big wings compared to the rest of their body which kind of reminds me about butterflies. I really enjoy standing at meadow and watch their mating flight while listening their song. They’re such a consoling creatures.
As a titbit notice heart-shaped secondaries tips, characteristic for all larks.
This particular specimen fell as it crashed into overhead power lines. I have many birds that have died this way up to post as I received a whole bunch of them from friend.

Comfortable in my space again. Finally got some shelves up.
My large gals: nilgai on the left and elk on the right. It’s nice to be able to directly compare a bovid and a cervid (and yes, true antelope are in the family Bovidae).

After 7 hours of drawing, I’ve completed another one. I’m really enjoying making these side by side comparisons of animals and their skeletons. I love anatomy so much.
