i don't think social media necessarily is making us dumber as a people. i think it just makes us lazier which in turns makes us dumber as a group and that's not even something we can particularly control. between algorithms for max engagement and sensational headlines people just dont do the research they used to have to to win arguments on the internet because theres now 500 loud and wrong people right next to them. they dont even care if theyre wrong but theyre winning because theyre louder and now theyre vindicated. ugly ass cycle

was reading an AITA thread and some lady was talking about the reason she did something wasn't tied to culture because she and her husband were white and it reminded me that white people truly do not believe they have a culture. they see cultures as a side track for a main path and its why its so fun for them to dip in and out of other peoples 

honestly the hardest part of moving mostly to twitter was the loss of tags. being able to organize my thoughts and come back to them is so good.
