Rowan is dragged to a haunted house by his closest friends. Once there, a certain blonde actress takes a particular interest in him.

You guys voted for the second Rowaelin prompt just about unanimously, so here it is!

It’s a few days late for Halloween, but editing was a bitch–I ended up cutting out a whole second part and lots of details, explanations, and background. I think I could write this plotline forever, honestly, but it was getting way too long. I may end up doing a second part to this, but I’m entirely undecided.

For now, I hope you enjoy my contribution to the Halloween spirit! (Even if it’s four days late…)

I was only at the damned haunted house because Fenrys dragged the lot of us there. As a man who was typically larger and more fit than any other person I encountered, I wasn’t scared of much. Not to mention I grew up with a dozen or so older cousins who had me watching awful horror movies from the time I could walk, desensitizing me for life.

So I didn’t frighten easily, and I was less than enthusiastic about walking around in some abandoned ass prison in below freezing temperatures while people in stupid costumes tried to scare me.

But Fenrys had been determined that it would be fun, and that all six of our group of friends should go.

Fenrys’ twin, Connal, was mildly excited and just hopped from foot to foot and talked animatedly with his brother as we waited outside the prison wall in line. Vaughan chatted quietly with Gavriel, who, although not enthusiastic about the haunted house, was perfectly happy just to be around all of us and to be making Fenrys and Connal happy.

The last of my friends, Lorcan, was surprisingly content to be here. He simply spoke with the others as pleasantly as he always did. Which meant that he wasn’t really pleasant at all, but it was better than when Lorcan was being bitter.

So… Sarah J Maas recently released some Empire of Storms quotes and I found it a bit hard to keep up because I wanted to make sure I saw every single one of them, so I decided to make a compilation of all of the Empire of Storms quotes released to date. This also serves to keep track of them and have them all neat and organized in one place. Please feel free to add any others you might have seen around, both ones that I might have missed and more that might (hopefully) be released in the future. I also apologize for my absence lately, I was just really busy with school (our school breaks are different in Brazil and with the Olympics everything got changed up, so I only got time off in August), traveling (nowhere really exiting, though :( ) … I guess it all just added up and I felt like I was missing out on a lot of things and it was all really overwhelming and I wanted to take the time to make sure I wasn’t missing out on anything. Anyways, I’ll stop rambling now and get right to it.
