RE-INVENT YOURSELF FOR 2022

this post was inspired by this tiktok: here

okay first realise..realise you have the power to change ANYTHING. its never too late to change your reality. dont think that you’re too “old” and that its late for you. people are in their 40s, 50s, 60s trying to find themselves and their true identity and trying out new hobbies! this idea that life ends when you’re 30 or whatever is such bullshit. you have so much time to change anything you want and nothing is impossible. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

once you realise that, you can conquer anything. your problems are so small compared to you, because you’re magnificent. in this time of age we do not stop to congratulate ourselves because we are always comparing ourselves to other peoples lives on social media, or our parents are comparing us to other peoples kids. take time to CONGRATULATE YOURSELF for atleast wanting to try doing better for yourself. thats already an achievement and a step closer to achieving your dream life. some of you guys have been through hell and back, yet you’re still here. just congratulate yourself on that, because thats amazing. really.

now..lets start a funeral.

write down or take mental note of all your “bad habits” than can include something simple as procrastinating or idk nail biting. GET RID OF THEM. DECLARE THIS NOW that you will stop doing those habits, these bad habits do not benefit you. now, its pretty easy to cling back onto these “bad habits” so dont even worry about it. if you do it again do not belittle yourself, do not beat yourself up about it omg. literally dont you’re still amazing and hey..maybe you won’t completely get rid of them so start minimising how much you do those so-called bad habits

secondly, the mental glow up

mental glowups are also important aswell as physical glowups. mental glowups really do wonders and can impact your physical appearance!

• don’t beat yourself up when you make a mistake.

i feel like its so normal for us to do this and i think if you were in a household that was not particularly great at emotional wellbeing you would struggle whenever you make mistake cus you would beat yourself up about it, its a tactic we’ve learned to do and its not a very good one.

• treat yourself with kindness.

how you treat a little child under your care, treat your mind and yourself as so. when you feel under pressure, when you feel caught up with everything. take it slow. and realise, you’re amazing and you can get through any obstacle.

• treat yourself like a QUEEN!

honestly, we should all start treating ourselves like the beautiful people we are?? like yeah i woke up messy hair and all but i am still beautiful. i am still shockingly pretty and i rock any hairdo.

• prioritise yourself. stop prioritising others.

now dont get me wrong, when the moment is right you can put others before yourself..BUT NOT ALL THE DAMN TIME! treat yourself, love yourself and prioritise yourself.

thirdly, the PHYSICAL GLOWUP!

now whatever you want to look like, visualise, script, command your subconscious or affirm that what you look like is IN YOUR REALITY! and nothing can stop that, literally nothing can. and in the meantime literally just love yourself, congratulate yourself..i mean your physical glowup is here and you look absolutely stunning.

take plenty of selfies cus you’re beautiful.

go outside and hang out with friends PLEASE DO NOT PUT A HAULT ON YOUR LIFE FOR YOUR MANIFESTATIONS.

pretend you’re a celebrity on vogue doing your routine in the bathroom. literally have fun, do hairstyles you wanna try, spend a lil bit of money on skin care + makeup.

NOW..COMBINE EVERYTHING IVE JUST SAID.

okay, now combine everything and just do it, dont be scared. why are you scared? you still have plenty of time to make mistakes and try again, and get your dream life, you still have time to love yourself and gain knowledge of YOU and stuff you like. now..you dont need the “perfect life” i feel like that is being so targeted towards young people nowadays searching for that “perfect life” that builds up so much more pressure, tbh. all you need is stability. become stable and consistent in habits, relationships, your body and your mind. (if u want, u can obvi have ur perfect life hun)

Feel free to reblog & use, & if you do anything with these I’d love to see. Please do not repost or remove this caption.

Here’s all of the Series 3 sigils into a single sheet so I can serialize all of these better. I’m going to be starting next year with both an array and with queuing up series 5.

I’m inclined to remind y’all that I do take requests for free, but donations to my paypal at athesiel2@gmail.com to help with prescriptions & etc are much appreciated, & if you want me to make you a sheet of sigils like this that we can discuss pricing & themes & etc.

i think we all know this feeling of being stuck inside your routine. you’re not really sad but it just feels like something is missing. so i’m here to give you ideas on how to spice things up™️ (or just make life more enjoyable).

  • paint your nails in an exciting color. paint them in several colors idc. now every time you see your hands (which is very often) you see your super cool nails
  • listen to a new music genre. like something completely different. if you like rap you will listen to country music now. jam your heart out i know u want to (here & here are some playlists if u need any ideas)
  • on that note revisit songs you liked when you were younger. we gettin nostalgic
  • sometimes you just need to watch a good old vine compilation
  • food!!! this can be such a huge factor. something as simple as switching your breakfast from toast to cereals, just smth new, can make a huge difference. try new things out, have fun (recipes here, here, here and here)
  • same thing with the things you drink! add lemon to your water, drink some tea, try iced coffee out, buy water from a diff company, …
  • a cute cup for your morning drink can really lighten up your mood too
  • get some magazines and cut things out you like. now get an a3 (a4 is okay too) paper and make a big collage
  • ikea trip? ikea trip!! don’t forget to eat smth there too yum
  • after showering put on some good smelling lotion and just enjoy the feeling
  • now put on your favorite underwear and an oversized shirt. maybe take some cute pics just for yourself. trust me you will feel better
  • rip a paper into little pieces
  • cuddle with your stuffed animal idc if you feel stupid, you will feel better
  • maybe spice things up with the way you look? try out a new hairstyle or invest in a new accessory you like (jewelry, hair ties / clips, belts, scarfs, etc.). it doesn’t have to be expensive, there’re lots of cute things in second-hand stores for example!
  • start a challenge in whatever you’re interested in. maybe for a hobby you always wanted to try out or pick up again. there’re tons of challenges on pinterest. i think i will try this one out though
  • write a love letter to yourself. you deserve one. fold it into a very small piece and put it into your pocket. this is now your lucky charm because trusting in yourself is all you need sometimes
  • buy groceries but this time with a friend or family member. catch up, have fun, buy some cookie dough and eat some cookies
  • picnics!!!!!!!! i love picnics!!!!! they’re so cute and actually super easy to organize. you can go alone or with someone else. just grab the food you have at home and a blanket and go to the nearest spot you find. even your garden or balcony. you can easily incorporate this into your day if you don’t have much time. instead of eating your dinner at your kitchen table you will go on a picnic now
  • if you have more time, you can bring a book with you or some art supplies and enjoy time outside
  • taking a walk listening to your fav album can help so much
  • change your bedding. you don’t even need to buy a new one, just wash it and get that feeling of freshness
  • open one of these sites (123): and read an article that seems interesting
  • buy flowers for yourself and put them in your room
  • change the color your laptop highlights things in
  • declutter your phone and laptop in general. set up some new backgrounds that make you happy
  • vary your commute. take the bus instead of the subway, get off a station earlier, or if you can, take the bike
  • change the places you do things. try studying in the library or a café, scroll through your phone not in your bed but at the kitchen table, read on the floor, every small change adds into spicing things up
  • take a bath when you shower normally or the other way around
  • light candles in the evening
  • search for your old nintendo and play some games
  • stretch in the morning. even for 2 mins is good
  • download some new apps
  • try a no social media day
  • instead of a black / blue pen write in a different color (for example your groceries lists, on post-its, in your journal, …)

i hope some of these ideas can help you! most of the are easy to incorporate into your daily life and take no to little money.  have a nice day!! <3

It has been literal years but every time I see Martin’s tweets posted somewhere and his word is shared as truth while her post is not shared it sort of reiterates the fact that we trust men to speak about feminism more than we believe women who experience it.

Reading her account of how their boss treated her blows me away. Men are so emboldened that they will literally admit to illegal discrimination casually and face no consequences.

In all the years of seeing this post I’ve never seen a link to her side. Didn’t even know she’d written one.

Adding screenshots of her post. His whole post is there without needing a link. Hers should be, too.

Also, she posted this is 2017! It’s fucking 2020 and I’ve seen his side of this for years, but it took 3 years for her side to make its way to my dash…

I’ve reblogged his story at least twice; it’s time for Nicole’s.

I got so angry while reading her side of it

good for her tho like Nicole you icon <3

Little tips for when you feel bad and don’t know why.

-Ask yourself the last time you drank some water. Drink a few sips even if it wasn’t long ago. Coffee doesn’t count (neither does soda unless it’s the only option)

-When was the last time you ate? Get a small snack if able.

-Are ANY of your clothes too tight or uncomfortable? This includes socks, headbands, hats, and shoes.

-Stretch! Pop those shoulders, arch that back, straighten those legs. It Helps.

-If you happen to stim, do it! Do whatever feels right!

-Look for sounds, smells, etc. That are bothering you.

-Get your headphones and put on whatever music makes you feel happy/good/energetic.

-Loosen your shoulders, take some deep breaths. Drop your head and loosely roll your head. Try to relax as many muscles as you can.

-Close your eyes for a second.

-Did you take your meds (if you have them)? Do you need to take a Tylenol, ibuprofen Etc.?

-Are there allergens in the vicinity, are there any allergy medications you need to take?

-Breath deep.

I am by no means a professional and I don’t know what could be causing it but I know that these are kind of helpful. I’m not you and you aren’t me so these might not work. If the feeling bad is medical attention worthy, these might not help.

However, I hope that this does help someone.

COLLEGE ADVICE PT. I

  • write down every deadline!
  • get someone’s number in every class, in case you have to miss a class or need a study buddy
  • don’t buy textbooks before you go to the first class – you might not even need them
  • same with notebooks, binders, folders, etc
  • live on campus for at least a year if you can – you’ll make more friends and get more involved that way
  • apply for a work study job  – your boss will be way more understanding about taking time off to study than if you work off campus
  • put yourself out there, especially in the first couple of months. go to club interest meetings, hang out with people from class, introduce yourself to your hall mates
  • if you don’t like the free t shirt, don’t take it. you’ll never wear, no not even to sleep, and you’ll just end up stressed out about your lack of closet space
  • don’t go straight back to your dorm after class – study in the library, hang out in union. don’t coop yourself up in your room all day!!
  • start your work as soon as you get it
  • always carry a water bottle
  • don’t leave the dining hall empty handed! grab some fruit or cookies for a snack later
  • keep a travel mug in your backpack so you can get free coffee from the dining hall instead of starbucks
  • coordinate with your roommates on big stuff – fridge, coffee maker, etc
  • apply for fafsa the day it opens!! if they need any extra info you’ll wanna know asap
  • lay out your clothes the night before, so you can sleep a little later
  • use the resources available to you!! go to the gym, the campus clinic, etc because you’re already paying for it!!
  • go to sporting events even if you don’t like sports, it’s a chance to really appreciate your school + get away from homework for a bit
  • start your work as soon as you get it!!!
  • take classes that interest you!! even if they’re outside your major
  • study hard but don’t forget to take a break!! spend time with your friends and make memories!!
  • always keep $20 in your car for emergency gas or food
  • you’ll probably switch majors. that’s okay.
  • if you decide you want to ~party~, take it easy. always go with people you trust, and don’t be afraid to leave early if you’re getting a bad vibe
  • don’t wear a lanyard. sure, they’re convenient, but at what cost?
  • speak up in class, but don’t be a know-it-all. if you’re speaking over all the other students or acting like you know more than the teacher your attendance grade is going to be the same as if you hadn’t talked at all
  • don’t sweat your gpa too much. it’s not like high school, and unless you have to have a certain gpa for a scholarship it doesn’t really matter what it is
  • keep your room clean. seriously it’ll make your relationship with your roommate much better and will keep your space from stressing you out
  • avoid all-nighters like the plague
  • enjoy it!!!

This is by far my favourite thing I've seen for this community. I feel so much pressure to read certain books that I haven't got the money to buy and I feel wrong talking about the ones I am reading. This community is great, and I know we all want to be pretentious and snobby, but let's use that for aesthetic purposes and not to put others down.

(Btw ironically enough I found this text post on Instagram, not Tumblr and now I'm reposting it to Tumblr because idk how to find the original)
