But Spencer has to move across the country to pursue his happiness and completely loses contact with Y/N. What if fate decides it's time to meet after 15 years and with a crazy stalker in between? You'd think FBI offices would be quiet at night, but the truth is, with so many agents and interns reporting to do, the night seemed to be the busiest time.

After spending three months there you had almost obtained your own desk and knew most of the people, especially the BAU team whom you had been assigned to support for your internship. Since you began your university studies, you had wanted to work in that FBI unit and when the opportunity presented itself you were extremely excited, but now that it was a reality, you could realize that the workload was unimaginable and heavier than you expected. Still, with any luck, proper schooling, and practice you could be aiming for a permanent position in maybe two or three years. For now, being there as an intern was more than enough.

"Okay, so you know how you were telling me last week about all the girls auditing your class?" You ask Spencer over dinner in his office.

Working in close proximity, but both being able to do what you're really good at, has its perks. It's made you a lot closer. Dining together while you get through mountains of grading is much better than eating alone in your office.

Somehow, he got a bigger office, so you're in there almost more than you are in your own when it's past office hours.

"Mhm." Spencer hums.

"And then I told you it's because you're so handsome." You continue telling the story just to compliment him. "The sexiest professor on campus?"

His cheeks are bright red, smiling a little cockily as he nods. "Kind of uncomfortable, especially when we're seen around together often, and I've got this." He holds up his ring finger, displaying the gold band you put there several years ago.

"Yeah, well, I have this." You hold up your ring with an obscenely big diamond. Maybe it's too extravagant for some people, but Spencer wouldn't let you have anything less. "And I'm in a similar situation."

"What?" He quickly questions. "People are auditing your class because you're attractive."

You sigh, nodding. "A bunch of freshmen guys, mostly from the football team, who apparently, are not immune to a teacher/student fantasy."

"No one's said anything?" He checks. "Because I'll-"

You laugh, putting your hand on his forearm to assure him it's okay. "Don't worry." You assure him. "Maybe we should set them up?" You suggest, earning a curious look from him. "Put on an are-you-attracted-to-your-teacher speed dating thing."

Spencer laughs along with you. "At least they'd have something in common, being attractive to a sexy Reid professor."

Morgan's spent twenty minutes hyping Spencer up, but the doctor knows it won't be enough. No amount of time is enough to prepare for the scariest thing he's ever done in his life. Standing against active shooters and being held captive seem to pale in comparison now, as he stands before you and your questioning eyes.

"What's up, Spencer?"

"I was wondering," He starts, and just like that the script he'd prepared with Morgan vanishes from his head. Technically, Morgan had denounced the script. It was a Spencer Effort, lines of dialogue he'd run through countless times while ignoring Morgan's protests to 'just feel it'. Now he's feeling nothing but panic, but he tries feeling something more.

"-if- if you wanted to maybe.. I could take- eat you out?"

He's felt it.

"-or- no!" He tries ignoring Morgan's snickers as he feels his cheeks blaze with embarrassment. His eyes squeeze shut as he grimaces, then he drops them to your mouth so that he doesn't have to look into your own gaze, "Not- not like, I meant... I could- we could go eat out. I could out- I could take- we could go to eat out. Like, I could take you to a- a diner? Or something? And we could eat. Out. I could take you out to eat. But if-"

"Spencer!" You rush the word out, and he watches the way your lips move around it.

He can't move, he can't speak, he can't offer you the apology you deserve, all he does is stand there frozen.

"I would... love to go get something to eat." You speak more eloquently than he did, but your voice is cautious, "And... we'll see about that other thing."

You leave him no time to respond, scurrying off to the bathroom to give yourself a once-over in the mirror. Spencer stands there dumbfounded, feet barely planted on the scratchy carpet of the precinct so that when Derek's hand claps him on the shoulder, he nearly topples.

"My man," Derek beams, amusement still dancing in his words, "Go eat her out, pretty boy."
