I know the update has us all emo but I would like to posit a concept that keeps cracking me up.
Jack having to hang out with Bitty’s parents. Pre-game. All by himself.
I keep imagining them at like the local Olive Garden getting dinner before the game. Jack is sweating profusely he’s so nervous. Jack and Coach end up having the most AWKWARD small talk of all time, but both of them are somehow genuinely enjoying the conversation? Like.
Coach: Caught the Falcs on TV the other night. Good game. Jack: Oh, yeah. Thanks. Pretty good season, eh? Coach: Yep (Pause) Jack: Uh, how is your deck coming along? Coach: Fine, just fine. Got all the foundations down last week. Jack: Nice Coach: Yep

I can confirm those first few times you hang out with your partner’s parents solo are VERY awkward, but I think at this point, having known Bitty so long and having spent time with Bitty’s parents both as the boyfriend and not, Jack knows how to fill time:
