They are coming back!
Years ago, they were significantly declining, as are almost all migratory birds. And now the wobbly feather babies are coming back! The new numbers are nothing like what they were 20+ years ago (we went from nearly 100,000 in 1989 to fewer than 7,000 in 2021), but they are increasing! Yay!
This is the best news I've read all week. Protect the red knots!
