Weight loss tips 🌹
What I do to lose weight! ✨Quick disclaimer ✨ I am not Pro Ana‼️ If your someone who doesn’t suffer from a ED please lose weight healthily. EDs aren’t a joke or a diet to lose weight quickly. If your someone in recovery I wish you the best and I advise you to not follow my blog. I don’t want to set back your recovery. Lastly I DO NOT RECOMMEND FASTING FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS.
Now this is basically what I personally do to lose weight! ✨💛
1. I stick to the 1 meal a day diet. I’ll usually only eat dinner and I try to not surpass 600 Cals. That way if later on I’m watching a movie, a healthy snack won’t make my daily calorie intake too high.
2. I make sure not to eat 4 hours before bed.
3. Although I’m guilty of not following this, GET 8+ HOURS OF SLEEP!! Lack Of sleep slows down your metabolism which isn’t what you want.
4. If I know I’m going out for dinner with friends and I’m going to be eating I try to fast the day before or stay under 300cals.
5. BATHS WITH EPSOM SALT! Epsom salty gets rid of excess water weight!
6. In the summer i usually get craving for cold sweets like ice cream. What I like to eat instead is frozen fruit! My favourite is frozen mango. I’ll post a picture of the brand I use which Is unsweetened and pretty low in calories.
7. When hanging with friends we usually get some type of food either from McDonalds or Tim Horton, I’ll usually order a large Coke Zero to keep me full (although sometimes it makes me feel bloated)
8. Walking! I try to walk as much as possible especially lunch time at school. (I’ll make a tips and tricks for losing weight during the school year sometime soon)
9. If someone offers you food always say no, but in a nice way. (You don’t know how many calories and sugar are in what their offering) Also if you have a snack offer some to others even if it’s something you were planning to eat (the less you snack the better)
10. Keep yourself busy, away from food and moving. I mostly like to clean, or study to get away from food or scroll through Tumblr.
11. Never ever say your hungry, this will catch people’s attentions and they’ll start paying more attention to what your eating. (And please eat if you are hungry or feeling light headed)
12. Have a real life thinspo, a skinny friend or maybe just a random person you see at school that is skinny.
13. I personally don’t exercise often although I like it, I find it more fun to play sports. (I recommend tennis! Your always running after the ball)
14. I like to think of cute outfit I want to buy and how much better I would look if I was just a bit thinner.
15. Try choosing between either sugary or salty foods. If u can cut both out that’s great! But for me personally I avoid sweets and go for salty foods.
16. Always measure your self! The scale isn’t a exact representation of how you look so pull out ur measuring tape and write down your progress.
17. Just because you had a little set back, don’t let it define your whole day. You ate the cupcake? That’s not good but it’s okay, drink water exercise and try to eat only healthy food for the rest of the day. Don’t binge just because of 1 thing.
18. Avoid having junk food in the house so you don’t binge (can be hard if you live with your family like I do, but I try to keep it out of sight)
19. If you feel as your about to binge go out! I like to go on a walk with friends or just catch up with friends and go somewhere non food related. (Or don’t bring money and go wherever)
20. Don’t take your money with you “just in case” take the money you need to buy whatever thing you want to but don’t bring extra incase you spend it on food.
21. Although difficult, keep a positive mind set. Think thought like “I can do it” “just a couple more pounds” “I am strong enough to do this” this helps you stay on track instead of beating yourself down. (I personally don’t like meanspo) there is already so much sadness and flaws in the ED community, so keep a happy mindset or try. 💛
