I get why Rhys didn’t want to tell a pregnant Feyre that her baby was likely to kill her. What I don’t get is why this didn’t come up before. Did it seriously never occur to Rhys that he might conceive a child with wings? It’s not like he didn’t know about the danger before. How can any Illyrian male enter into a sexual relationship with a non-Illyrian female without warning her what will happen if she gets pregnant?
That goes for Cassian and Azriel too. Did Cassian know for sure that Nesta was on birth control? And he’s full Illyrian, so as I understand it there is no doubt that his children would have wings. But he never says a word to Nesta about it, and even once Nesta finds out about the danger they still don’t have a conversation.
And I’m not taking a side in the ship wars, but neither Elain nor Gwyn is Illyrian, and Nesta only fixed Feyre and herself before giving up the power. Whoever Azriel is with will face the same danger.
Pregnancy may be rare among the Fae, but there is no excuse for keeping a secret about such a serious risk. The women have a right to know what they’re getting into. Long before they’re pregnant and it’s too late.
There is one more thing that I consider to be a failure in the writing of Aunt Sarah. This lack of dialogue between the characters. From moving away from the characters when there is a clear need to sit down and talk about a subject. So much about the possibilities of pregnancy, so much about the relationship of the Archeon sisters etc ...😣
(I saw some posts saying stuff like “Elain would be [insert negativity] at Gwyn”. It was weeks ago, and I can’t be bothered to find the original posts.)
When/ If Elain sees Gwyn wearing the necklace, I doubt she will make a big deal out of it. Yes, Elain will be heartbroken learning Azriel gave the necklace away, but she wouldn’t want to make a scene in front of others or be mean to Gwyn about it. She would be upset with Azriel, but again, she wouldn’t involve Gwyn in this. Gwyn isn’t at fault here. Azriel is. So since Elain is quite smart, I don’t see why she would make unnecessary drama. The way I see it, this necklace thing would only bring the girls together, and it would be a good reason for them to become closer.
Please-
it’s so obvious what an amazing potential friendship these two can have, please don’t think they would fight and/or hate each other for Azriel’s stupidity.
(There was also one that said Elain would get jealous of Nesta and Gwyn’s friendship and “Elain would be [insert negativity] at Nesta x Gwyn”.)
Also, why would Elain be jealous of Nesta’s friendship with Gwyn? Elain would be HAPPY that her sister found someone she could talk to. She would be HAPPY because her sister is healing. She would be HAPPY because her sister is happy. I don’t see Elain being petty or possessive over her sisters. I cannot see her going “but they are my sisters, they can’t have friends, only me”. Why would she want Nesta to be sad. Nesta only just started to heal, why would anyone want their family to be hurt? Please. This argument is just so ugh.
Some of y'all don’t want these characters to get along and it shows.

I can easily imagine GWYNETH AND ELAIN becoming friends. When elain said "I don't want any male" for me it was clear enough that she was not stingy but someone who knows what she wants and how to behave. It would be a disappointment for SARAH to use the necklace to start a female rivalry at this stage.
