Also foxgloves are poisonous, going straight to the heart, like a certain Akechi 👀
Not to mention they're called foxgloves!!! And Mitsuhide is always related to foxes/kitsune!! He even has a pet fox.
I've always thought that he reminded me of them and vice versa, and they're one of my favorite flowers, so that helps.

Allow me to add that, as stated in the screenshot, it can be used for medicinal purposes as well, although it is hard to find the right dose - fixing our hearts while being equally deadly if overdosed, sounds oddly fitting.
