Ryan Gosling as Jacob Palmer in “Crazy, Stupid, Love” (2011)
rewatching Crazy Stupid Love with Ryan Gosling et Steve Carell, and I'm honestly surprised no one ever shipped these two..? I mean, Hannah and Jacob, I was (and still kinda am) obsessed with BUT the fanfiction potential for Jacob and Cal, like... Yes? Anyway, just a random thought.
This man is the real MVP.
I follow him on Twitter. He’s made 3 other “batches” of these photos:
The first batch kept getting recognized because the post got popular so he made more. Stay safe ladies!
King shit
This is actually insanely useful tho
rb for anyone that might need them!!
I will always reblog this every time I see it
Re-watching Season 1 rn.
Can't stop thinking about Scotty showing up at Harvey's after their "professional meeting" didn't go as she had planned.
Except Harvey isn't here.
Mike is. In pjs. Waiting for Harvey to get home. And they are both like "Who are you? What are you doing here?" and Mike is like "I live here." and Scotty is like "No way Harvey moved." and Mike just "Well depends if you consider sticking to one side of the bed and emptying half the dressing room, moving."
and then Harvey gets home, none the wiser, and he kissed Mike, being all tired and cute and cutting Mike off with a kiss every time he tries to say something about the Strange Woman That Walked In Using Their Private Elevator... And then, well, "Hi Scotty" I guess.
Pairing: Shuri/Everett Ross
Tags: Post-Wakanda Forever, De-Aged Character, Hurt/Comfort, Fluff & Angst
Plot Points: (spoilers)
- Background: Namor is still planning his revenge, and trying to get Shuri to join him. He made a deal with a Witch (Mama D'lo inspired).
- As the Witch attacks Shuri and Nakia in Haiti. Everett helps as best as he can - which isn't much - and manages to save Shuri from drowning. Unfortunately, he gets trapped and (almost) dies.
- Shuri decides to use the (new) Heart-Shaped Herb to save Everett.
- It ends up working but not as she thought it would: not only does Everett wakes up with powers - just like the Black Panther - but the Herb has a side effect and de-aged him back to his early twenties. He not only looks younger; he is younger - memories and all. He believes he is a young Air Force pilot and has forgotten about Shuri, and Wakanda.
- They all go back to Wakanda. No one is particularly happy about what happened to Everett. A colonizer having Black Panther's powers is an affront. They want him to take the Herb again, however, Shuri is worried it might kill him, as it is not the original plant, nor is what happened to him 'normal'.
- King M'Baku actually understands Shuri's worry - knowing very well she has already lost too many people. He offers her a deal: Everett swears loyalty to Wakanda, and he might stay and live as he is.
- Problem is: Young Everett Ross thinks he is an american soldier and refuses to betray his country. Annoyed, King M'Baku and his council give Shuri (time here) to get him to change his mind about the situation, or he will have to take the Herb (or be arrested).
- Shuri does everything she can to make Everett change his mind, while King M'Baku's firstborn tries to get the stranger killed - jealous of his powers and Shuri's.
- Namor comes back? Maybe. (UC)
- Everett agrees to stay because he fell in love with Shuri. (UC)
Note: The alias White Lion is inspired by Mountain Lions, found in America. It's meant to have the same vibe as Shuri's favorite nickname for Everett (Her 'Favorite Colonizer'), and also an allusion to Bucky's White Wolf.
I'm still working on this. (Aka I'm rewatching the BP movies again, and again.)
Ugh. I wish I could stop seeing that “ao3 getting a semblance of proper moderation” post on my dash. I’ve already unfollowed like 3 people over it.
AO3 already IS moderated!!!!!
It’s moderated based on what is LEGAL. They also moderate stuff that is trying to garner profit or donations, and stuff that is explicitly stolen/plagiarized. They also require that the works posted be transformational in some way (though the metric for that is very broad). IT IS MODERATED ALREDY, RIGHT NOW!
You just don’t like the terms of the moderation. Which is fine, but then, DON’T USE THE ARCHIVE IF THAT’S HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT IT. jfc. you aren’t entitled to everything on AO3 living up to your personal moral standards because fans have different moral standards, which is exactly the issue. And AO3 has opted to stay out of those types of fights by allowing users to post anything that is legal under US law and meets their other posting criteria (nothing for pay, nothing plagiarized) and letting people manage their own experience beyond that point. if you don’t like that, DON’T GO ON AO3. be responsible for your own damn experience.
no one is posting anything illegal on AO3, and the archive DOES moderate for that. quit demanding that everything online live up to your personal moral standards. you aren’t the goddamn main character of the universe.
Do you ever have a GREAT fanfiction idea but you also know you are not the right writer for it and you are just like 😮💨🙃
That's also why you can find so many random prompts on my blogs. Not so secretly hoping someone will pick one up. ☠️
I have seen more and more readers on Ao3 mentioning that they don’t read non finished fics.
And I am not here to tell you to read fics that aren’t completed yet, because it’s not my job.
But please, if you subscribe to this policy, be aware that this absolutely contributes to fics never being finished.
Because writing a fic, especially a multi-chaptered-one, takes a lot of time and effort and writers need positive feedback to make it worth it. So if they aren’t getting it, the chance of them dropping the project altogether is significantly higher.
i did this a few years ago and i get so embarrassed rewatching it but i'm also impressed by how far younger me went to give it a real vlog vibe so I'm posting it here, may delete it later (probably).
AO3 Etiquette -UPDATED
Based on both decent and not so decent replies, I have made some changes to my original post below.
It would seem a whole new kind of AO3 reader/writer is emerging and it is becoming clear not everyone quite understands how the website community works. Here is some basic guidance on how most people expect you to go about using AO3 to keep this a fun community archive that funtions correctly:
- Kudos is for when the story was interesting enough to make you finish reading. If it sucked or was badly written, you probably left. If you finished it, you liked it - so kudos.
- If you really liked it, you should comment. It can be long and detailed or a literal keysmash. Writers don't care, we just love comments.
- No critisism unless the author has specifically asked or agreed to hear it. Even constructive critisism is a no-no unless an author note tells you it's okay. No, posting it online is not an open invitation for that. Many people write as a fun hobby or a way to cope with, among other things, insecurity and just want to share. Don't ruin that for them.
- Do not comment to ask the author to write/update something else. It's tacky and off-putting and will probably have the opposite effect than the one you want.
- There is no algorithm, it's an archive. Use the search and filter function to add/remove the pairings/characters/tropes etc. you want to read about and it will find you the fics that fit the bill.
- For this to work, writers must tag and rate stories. This avoids readers finding the wrong things and missing the stuff they want. I don't care how cringy that trope is in your eyes - it gets tagged.
- Character A/Character B means a ROMANTIC or SEXUAL relationship of some kind. Character A&Character B is PLATONIC, like friendship or family.
- Nothing is banned. This is an implicit rule because banning one thing is a slipperly slope to banning another and another, until nothing is allowed anymore. Do not expect anyone to censor for you. Because of the tags system, you are responsible for your own reading experience.
- People can create new chapters and sequels/fic series any time after they "complete" a story. So it's considered perfectly normal to subscribe, even to a finished story. You can even subscribe to the author instead just to cover your bases.
- Do not repost stories or change the publishing date without an extremely good reason (like a complete top to bottom rewrite). It's an archive, not social media. No one cares what's the most recent, only what fits their tag needs.
- Try to avoid deleting a story you wrote if you hate it - make it anonymous or orphan it so others can still enjoy it, without it being connected to your name anymore.
- It's come to my attention that metaworks ARE allowed on AO3, which is something I wasn't aware of. So if you do post an essay or theory, please tag it as such so others can choose to search for it or exclude it.
- The only reason this archive works is because NON ONE PROFITS. Do not link to your ko-fi or patreon or mention monetary gain in any way or you violate the terms and risk having your account removed.
I KNOW there's plenty more I missed but I'm trying to cover most of the basics that people seem to be struggling with.
I invite anyone to add to this, but please explain, don't berate.
But what if Anakin somehow became a successful holo actor who was cast to play a young jedi prodigy and republic general in an upcoming blockbuster, and the prod made a deal with the Order so he could actually see/live like a jedi for some time, and of course, the council would just make it Obi-Wan's problem - cause clearly, he is the perfect jedi, the less likely to kill the actor out of frustration. Except Anakin is still force sensitive, and they bond, and... yeah. They fall in love and the whole galaxy is watching and loving it.
One, I really can't wait to watch Wakanda Forever again, I only saw it once in theaters and didn't get to go back, I'm counting the days until I can buy it.
Second, I've been plagued by this ship idea aka Shuri/Young!Agent Ross. Like Ross being magically de-aged to his early twenties and thinking he is still a young soldier, rediscovering Wakanda and Shuri all over again, and falling in love with both, cause he is just stupid enough to do so and be open about it.
I hate my brain sometimes.

After months (years) of brainstorming ideas, I started writing my Harley Keener Project's first draft today. Wish me luck. 🙃✨
Time for some more decision making! Which do you prefer?💫✨
They were surrounded.
Qui-Gon, Mace and he. They had reached the old temple’s core only to be cornered by troops of battle droids. Standing backs to backs, the three of them lifted their lightsabers, waiting.
They had come to xxx following a lead on a sith holocron. A powerful artifact which had made itself known in the Force a few days prior. Yoda had felt it. Mace had noticed new shatterpoints. And more surprisingly, Obi-Wan had dreamed about it.
He wasn’t prone to Force Visions, and yet. He was shown the strange arcade, and also he couldn’t remember it despite his best efforts, a face.
Now Obi-Wan felt both incredibly stupid and slightly betrayed. Clearly the dream hadn’t been a vision but part of their enemies’ plan.
“You’ve lost, Padawan,” said Dooku.
His Master’s master stood amongst the Seppies army as prime as ever. Qui-Gon answered him but Obi-Wan couldn’t focus on their exchange. His ears were ringing and his vision was whiting out.
“What?”
Dooku moved forward and the three of them turned while staying in position. That was when Obi-Wan’s gaze fell on the young man standing in front of the arcade. Their eyes met and the stranger took a step towards them:
“Master?” he breathed.
“Darth?” Dooku called.
And multiple things happened at once. The Force darkened around them, and as did the stranger's beautiful face. He moved swiftly to stand between the count and Obi-Wan, pushing him away from the fight with a single hand gesture, while he lit a blue lightsaber with the other.
“You,” he seethed.
