My mother is in need of help
My mother is the strongest and bravest survivor I know. I have done my best caring for her since I was 16 years old, and do not regret this, as I know I am fortunate to say I have a non-toxic relationship with one of my parents.
For the record, my mother does not smoke, or even drink coffee. Her dental issues are in no way the result of her own actions, but from patient abuse she suffered as a child. When she was a little girl, her dentist drilled and grounded holes into every single one of her teeth, in order to drain as much money as he could from my grandparents by filling cavities he created. (She is not the only one who suffered from this horrible man, either.) Her issues have escalated beyond just constant pain to digestion problems, from lack of chewing properly.
Because she is on Disability Support, my mother does not have any form of dental coverage. After searching for help locally, we found a dentist that offered to fix her with partial dentures, free of charge! Unfortunately though, we still need to come up with funds for the dentures themselves.
The dentist estimated the cost of the dentures to be $500, and we only have $35 to put towards them right now. If you’re reading this and have any money you would be willing to donate to us, I would be extremely grateful. Even if you do not—because believe me, I completely understand—every single reblog is very much appreciated!

My family has received lifesaving help from the kindness of strangers before, and it is only out of desperation that I am seeking it again.
My mother agreed to let me take a picture of her mouth, if you would like to view proof of the urgent need. The image is below the ‘keep reading’ cut, as it may be disturbing for some people:
