I really love feeling the sun
“It doesn’t make sense to call ourselves ugly, because we don’t really see ourselves. We don’t watch ourselves sleeping in bed, curled up and silent with chests rising and falling with our own rhythm. We don’t see ourselves reading a book, eyes fluttering and glowing. You don’t see yourself looking at someone with love and care inside your heart. There’s no mirror in your way when you’re laughing and smiling and happiness is leaking out of you. You would know exactly how bright and beautiful you are if you saw yourself in the moments where you are truly yourself.”

Resist the urge to believe everyone hates you!! They don’t!!
You know what?
I am annoying sometimes.
And that’s okay. It’s not the death sentence I was led to believe. People will love me even if I can’t read their signals sometimes. Not understanding is forgivable. I don’t have to hold myself back so I don’t annoy anyone ever.
The people who love me know I get excited. And I am still loved.

Imagine: Hard Work Pays Off
It’s 3am, you sit at your desk writing that essay you’ve been working on for weeks, or going over those sets of maths problems, or that science project that’s due tomorrow. Your young sleepy eyes threaten to close but you push just that little bit further, a blanket wrapped around you and some tea warming your hands. It has to be perfect. It’s high school. The next day you hand it in, your teacher smiles. A+
It’s 3am a few years later and you sit at your desk on your computer, typing away at that lab report, that essay, that assignment that needs doing. You’ve worked so hard on it. Passion motivates you, not fear nor caffeine. It is your goals that keep you going, your drive to make a difference. To help people. To learn. You are in your dream course at your dream college. As you type those last few digits, you smile. You submit it and a sense of serenity overtakes you; you go to sleep, proud.
It’s 3 am and you wake up for no particular reason. A cold breeze enters through your partially open window. Warm under your blankets you stretch and look around. Smiling. You graduated a few years back and life is good, friends and family love you and are proud of you, you’re happy and surround yourself with good people. You’ve built the life you dreamed of. As tiredness overtakes you you go back to sleep, excited for work and to do what you love in the morning.
