Also, is it me, or is Dusekkar like- weirdly calm about his best friends and well-known counterparts dying? Like Rozanda said: don't go trusting people you barely know.
In my opinion, I think Dusekkar wanted Tess Aract gone anyway, and perhaps Scripliss, too. Perhaps his power of the plotbook is so greatly possessive that he doesn't care about the effects around him. Such power makes everyone meaningless. Dusekkar in my opinion is a strange character.. as the protagonist trusts him so easily, just like Cyalm. Perhaps it's destiny, the only proper way to fit the narrative.
Maybe he will become the new Equinox, causing history to repeat itself again and again and again. Interesting. He doesn't present like a villain, but certainly isn't great either. Perhaps his counterparts refuse to disclose something just in case of losing everything in the process.
All, everything regarding the narrative, perhaps its meant to be.

Yet I grow old; I just want to let you know that I'm sorry for pushing you away, I'm sorry for discarding your feelings to progress further into my studies. Continue being the light of guidance to people's stories and assisting them when needed most, though there is no chance of saving me now.
