Big Hero 7 The Series Update/Reboot Idea

It's been a while since I mentioned, drew, or even wrote about my fanfic Big Hero 7 The series

Now, I paused the story due to school, and lately, I’ve been thinking of re-writing my story and updating the designs and motives of my characters and the story as a whole. I realized a lot of missed potential my fanfic could have and I want to start rewriting it. But I want to know if you guys would be interested in this reboot. It would been refreshing my old fanfic and , with 20/20 hindsight, I archive my old posts and or create a new tag to differentiate the reboot from the old. Including my Big Hero 7 Blog I have still have lol

So that leaves the Question...

Friendly reminder that calling Zuckerburg a lizard or alien is antisemitic and echoes New World Order propaganda about Jews. Zuckerberg is an ethnic Jew, and insinuating that he's something inhuman only contributes to the current resurgence of neo-Nazi views

Let me help some of y'all with reading comprehension:

"[C]alling [any Jewish person] a lizard or alien [or not human] is antisemitic and echoes New World Order propaganda about Jews... [and] ...contributes to the current resurgence of neo-Nazi views."

It's not about one guy. It's about being made aware that using neo-nazi dogwhistles about a Jewish person makes the world a more comfortable place for nazis to fuckin murder the rest of us.

It's okay if you didn't know, it's not your fault, dogwhistles are that way on purpose, to slip by unknowingly. Just knock it off and try not to spread it around yes? Okay.

Since the reading comprehension on this site is piss poor and it shows in the replies, I thought I would clarify this post even more for some of y'all out there.

The whole "lizard people shadow government" thing is an antisemitic dogwhistle. The point of dogwhistles is that you're not using them with ill intent, but they still indicate the spread of neo nazi views and propaganda.

Saying "I'm doing it because he's not a bad person, not because he's Jewish" is not an excuse. This post wasn't calling you an antisemite for unknowingly spreading this propaganda, as that's literally what a dogwhistle is meant to do. Literally just stop doing this, it's not that hard lmao.

It disturbs me, as a non-Jew myself, how many of us are trying to be defensive in the replies, when pretty much every Jewish person I've seen talk about this issue agrees that it's wrong to apply antisemitic rhetoric to someone even though he is a bad person.

By calling a bad person an antisemitic dogwhistle, you show through your actions that you think Jewish people need to earn the right to be treated as human beings. Think of how bigots will often show their true colors by misgendering a trans person who also happens to be an awful piece of shit human being.

"But I can't think of other insults to use!!!" it's not Jewish people's responsibility to think of jokes and insults for you, and also, that's not an excuse to keep doing this bad thing.

Just stop spreading this rhetoric and move the fuck on.

Damn, that's a hard pill to swallow tbh, but I get the point. I kind of want to understand two things if somebody could explain:

1. Is calling him a robot ok? Like it's a joke about how he acts sometimes, right?

2. Is the whole secret world leaders reptiles kind of thing out of the question too? Like... Is calling the Queen (when she was alive) a reptilian etc. also wrong?

I hope I don't sound aggressive or anything, I'm just genuinely not sure and would like to educate myself.

not op but ive been dogging this post adn chasing off weirdos all morning so idm answering here in good faith ^_^/

  1. insults abt his behavior/mannerisms are whatever but you should probably analyze why you feel the way you feel abt the way he carries himself. idt its like problematic like calling a jew a lizard but insults focused more on his actions that hurt others can prompt a more thorough conversation about it imo
  2. im sorry to tell you this but a lot lot lot lot lot of 'secret group of global elite lizard people who are hiding that the earth is flat from us and also they drink kids blood' is all so deeply steeped in antisemitism. itd be shitty to call zuck a lizard person even if he wasnt a jewish man just because it invokes these conspiracies made about jewish people. theres a lot of articles out there that talk abt it deeper if you want to research on it id link some but im pretty tired atm sorry

i commented this already on the posts replies but it is pretty safe to assume a lot of conspiracy theories about secret societies stem from antisemitism. not always but you need to be super cautious.

good red flags are stuff that comments on:

  • drinking blood too (blood libel is a huge thing, goyim literally do think we drink kids blood to stay young or whatever, a lot of vampire mythos unfortunately stems from this too)
  • having big/misshapen noses (not all jews have hooked noses but its recognized as a jewish thing enough that antisemites make it a focal point in their stuff)
  • being generally greedy and penny pinching (yes zuck is greedy, this is because hes a billionare, idt its wrong to call him something thats accurate. the jewish stereotype of being money-hoarding as a whole comes from the fact that jewish people were commonly bankers as the church saw money handling as a sin or whatever? dont cite me on this but its an idea like that.)
  • being Above Consequences, ironically something a lot of goyim who dont realize theyre wildly antisemitic are interpreting this post to say lmao (hints that The Elites protect Their Own, aka jews control society so no jew will ever get consequences. again zuck will likely not experience consequences because he is rich, not because he is jewish. this is a very important distinction)
  • green skin (this is a big one. oh my gd. a lot of antisemitic propaganda depicts jewish people with green skin and strangely enough so does a lot of 'anti-mark zuckerberg' memes... Huh.... wonder why..........)

dogwhistles are intentionally built to be hard to notice, and also are intentionally built in a way to be parroted by those who Arent In The Know. youre not a terrible person for not knowing (im jewish and even i have a hard time keeping up with all the flags sometimes) but this posts intent is to inform people so they do know to avoid invoking neonazi rhetoric like that 💖

Ok I love this???

"baptise me in hot dog water"

Hot dog water - there's a Tumblr post out there I've seen saying hot dog water is the opposite of holy water, due to the fact that a single drop of it will contaminate what it touches. I assume this was partly inspired by this allusion but who knows for sure.

Also the the idea of holy water as inhuman and cleaning vs hot dog water as the remains of feeding someone - often a child - and entirely human. It may be dirty and I do not want it on me but God hot dog water has some memories. You will not wash away my sins. They're mine. Also, anyone can make hot dog water but holy water is refined, restricted (yes anyone can make it in an emergency but lay people are restricted from it)

"you and I both know"

Unlike baptism for babies, this one is done between two people who are both aware of what is happening. The one receiving the baptism gives the orders about what they want to happen. The giver and receiver are portrayed as equals. They are equally aware of their humanity.

"the holy stuff won't take"

Ooof heartbreaking, amazing line. Raises so many questions. What does it mean when the water "takes"? What has the receiver done that makes them unfit for holy water? Or, what has the holy water done that makes it to weak to help, to be a part of your life?

The poem as a whole - I love the lack of capitalization. It adds a sort of intimacy to the poem, and the statement from the speaker. The high words "baptise" and "holy" being offset by "take" and "hot dog". Also "hot dog water" vs "holy stuff." The cadence! I would lick it.

this poem is moving me to tears. the only reason twitter user yiffpolice thinks it's self-evidently garbage is theyre trying to read it as prose

i read "the holy stuff won't take" slightly differently though. when you look at other things that are said to "not take" it's an expression that refers to impermanence, generally of training or a mark. in that context, for holy water not to take comes to mean that the speaker will not remain holy after a baptism, with the suggestion from "you and i both know" that this has already been proven

the use of the word "take" further reinforces the idea of training or marking and ties in with the idea of the speaker's incompatibility with holiness by suggesting that god has rejected them, that they have rejected god, or both

this also ties back in to the request for baptism in the opposite of cleansing water and creates a narrative in which the speaker has tried repeatedly to be Good but to no avail and is now choosing to try being Bad on purpose in search of a choice at which they can succeed, but needs help to do this; needs someone to baptise them. the implication being that they've spent so much time trying uselessly to be Good that they don't know how to stop

with hot dog water as a metaphor for human connection, especially framed as a foil to divinity, this turns the poem into a call for help from a speaker whose righteous isolation is killing them but who only has one person, if any, who can connect them to their first real community, which they hope will destroy the urge to be Good with a permanency that destroying the urge to be Bad has never had

EDIT BC I'M NOT DONE: also the way the only two-syllable words are "baptise" and "water" and "holy" suggests a rejection of the lofty in favor of the base

"baptise" is semisarcastic, used only as an explicit and intentional misappropriation for want of a secular equivalent

"water" is even more explicitly appropriated from its orifinal context, with holy water being reduced to holy "stuff" and the water itself being explicitly and intentionally corrupted and placed at the opposite end of the line from "baptise"

and "holy" is of course separated by an entire line—one which speaks of agency—from both of these sister words, only to be directly rejected wholesale

EDIT 2: someone in the notes said its trochaic and i realized:

the first line is in trochaic tetrameter, which sets you up to read the second line as trochaic, but its five syllables have a symmetrical stress pattern, which leads you smoothly into the iambic trimeter of the third line, which is not only an inversion of the trochaic first, but feels clipped by comparison

this poem, hated by the poet (which thematically adds to it, imho), is not just moving in content but also technically very well constructed
