let’s talk about the german naruto opening
when sasuke sacrifices himself to save naruto against haku, naruto doesn’t get why sasuke would do that.
we as readers, have an idea because we are able to see sasuke’s memories with naruto, moments he cherished and found worth remembering in his deathbed (lol).
when sasuke says he can’t let his “precious comrades” die, naruto thinks of the moment with haku. he still doesn’t get it.
at the end of the manga, however, we have naruto teasing sasuke, about not being able to help yourself when “your body moves on its own”
and then in chapter 698, naruto says this to sasuke:
“because i’m (your) only one”.
he gets it now.

someone even pointed out that the way sasuke rejected her kiss in gaiden was framed the same way and with the same body language as when he rejected her at the beginning of naruto lol.

crappy as sakura’s fake confession to naruto was, kishi at least wrote her reasoning for her ‘fake crush’ but for sasuke 'the one she loves so dearly’ kishi just said 'it’s too contrived’ to write and dealt with it by having kakashi say 'you don’t need a reason to love someone’ after sakura herself was rendered unconscious because sasuke put her in a genjutsu where he stabbed in her in the chest (straight through the heart of her make believe romance) and then saying he has no reason to love her and she has no reason to love him loooool
Anyways earlier i was scrolling thru tiktok and this one video came up and it was like different characters’ views of Naruto, how he was always able to inspire others because… he reminded them of someone else. like for example, kakashi watching naruto fight and being reminded of minato. chiyo being reminded of sasori. i could keep going, tsunade with nawaki, sai with his brother, kaguya being reminded of hagoromo ?&(&!? and honestly i think naruto reminds like 20 diff characters of minato 😭 but anyways it made me like :| for some reason because, well it’s nice that he’s able to be an inspiration and all but i don’t know it makes me think of like when he was ignored by the entire village.. and was only just then able to gain all of their approvals when he defeated pain… and to me it just seems like he’s always there servicing others? like he never gets an apology? like okay you only will respect him when he his strong? doing selfless acts for the village? and so now i will push my snser agenda which is sasuke saw him before anyone else, saw him before he was strong, and even when he was being a nuisance to the village, being rejected by everyone else, his feelings only grew stronger. so now i’m okay cus sns will always love each other no matter the circumstances .
