@fxggotclown I actually have been making a fairly in depth one, it starts with a lump of clay and turns into a fully decorated plate. and I just finished editing it a couple days ago …and then promptly forgot to post it lmao

here’s my process:

there should maybe be a part where I cut a piece of paper into the shape/size of my decorating surface and sketch, but I didn’t want to go any longer than two minutes

For German Learners 🇩🇪: German Fairy Tale Films

The German TV channel ARD is filming loads of German fairy tales and uploading them for free on their website!

Most of them are just 60 minutes long.

The films are in German with German subtitles and they even offer some versions with audio description and German Sign Language (DGS)!

Here’s a list with links to the films:

10 steps to revise for an exam (and my recommended timeline)

  1. Quickly go over the material that will be covered on the exam. Put each topic into a category of "Good" "Okay" and "Bad" based on your understanding of that topic. (Day 0 - Before revising)
  2. Look at steps 3-10 and put them into a study plan that you can follow. This will keep you on track and ensure you cover everything. (Day 0 - Before revising)
  3. First, start with your "Okay" list. Briefly revise each topic, focusing on definitions, formulas, and general concepts. At this point, you should be ensuring that you know the information, not focusing on exam practice. I like using flashcards for this step to ensure I actually know the information (Day 1)
  4. Now, do the same for your "Good" list. (Day 1 or 2)
  5. Once you've done steps 2 and 3, you're ready to practice! If your professor has given you practice/review questions, use those. You can also find great questions in your textbook or from past assignments. (Day 2)
  6. Now, focus on your "Bad" category. Do a much more thorough review of the information in this category, almost as if you're learning it for the first time. This is a step where flashcards may be super helpful, especially if you need to power through a lot of memorization work (Day 3).
  7. This is where you practice your "Bad" category. Make sure to do multiple questions for each topic to ensure that you're prepared for anything that comes your way (Day 4).
  8. Revisit all the information you've studied over this process, and do more practice problems on the topics you're struggling with the most. (Day 5)
  9. Take a deep breath, get some sleep, and eat a good meal! (Exam day!)
  10. Take your exam!

I think all the discussion around Anya’s age and whether she’s actually smart partly misses the joke that she is supposed to be bad at school and trail behind the other kids.

Because Anya absolutely did not get into Eden because of merit, or some intellectual prowess (for a 4/5/6? year old). She got into Eden because she’s the daughter of Loid and Yor Forger. At first, because Henderson deemed the social climbing family ‘worthy’ to climb towards high society after they took down rampaging farm animals with Grace. And later and more importantly, because Henderson saw Loid Forger is a good man - the Goodest, in fact - who would do anything for his daughter and put her happiness and welfare first. And the fact that both Mr and Mrs Forger are ready to do a violence or two when they see Anya cry.

The series of makes it clear that a lot of the kids at Eden are legacy - iirc, the anime even had the principal joke about it when he welcomed the new students. So like Anya, they got into Eden because of family connections, just that instead of having parents who’re super rich and/or powerful, Anya has parents who are super loving.

Which is another one of those ‘jokes’ that’s not a joke but a serious comment about privilege and family. Oh SxF. Never change.
