Call me Jo. Older than you. Get creative with pronouns; you cannot gender me in any way that matters. AO3: BleedingInk. Twitter: @AllMegstiel.

Summary: Ben Braeden, a seemingly normal pre-Med student from Michigan, is dragged away from his comfortable life when an old childhood friend, Katie Keel, shows up at his college to tell him that he’s in mortal danger. Ben assumes that it’s some sort of elaborate prank until three angels attempt to take him away for some sinister purpose. Ben and Katie then must set out to find the Winchesters, the only hunters known for having frequent deals with angels and who might be able to protect him. However, this could lead to the reveal of some secrets in Ben’s past that maybe were best left forgotten.

Summary: Ben Braeden's life as a normal college student has been blown to smitherins by the revelation that he is next in line to become the Archangel Michael's vessel. Now on the run from both Heaven and Hell, he has to learn the ropes of the family business in order to survive and try to rescue his friend Gary from the angel that's holding him hostage. It's not an easy deal when he's not on speaking terms with his father, Dean Winchester, at the moment, but at least he is not alone: he has his best friend, Katie Keel, a tough-as-nails young hunter, always watching his back. But when an enemy known only as the Big Bad Wolf emerges to threaten the hunting community, Ben and Katie might find out they are way in over their heads even without all the angels and demons on their trail.

Is it just me or you don’t really realise how drunk you are until you are in a bathroom alone???

thanks to tumblr literally every time i go to the bathroom when i’m drunk i think about this post and sit there laughing to myself trying not to fall off the toilet

i dont know how else to put this but to approach books (or any media, really) solely for the sake of relatability is genuinely incredibly heartbreaking……to have such little (or such unwilling) imaginative scope that you cannot stretch yourself, even marginally, in a different direction to what you’ve known or are used to knowing when the very POINT of stories is to transport you somewhere else, into someone else, so you can do just that……..when fran lebowiz said a book “is supposed to be a door!” and george saunders said good prose “is like empathy training wheels” they were right!!! they were so so so SO absolutely entirely right!!!!!

"superman knows everyone's secret identity because he can see through masks and eavesdrop anywhere, batman knows everyone's secret identity because he's the world's greatest detective, and wonder woman knows everyone's secret identity because she has a magic lasso" is fine and all but i think it's funnier if clark makes an active effort not to look through masks because he thinks it's rude, bruce knows despite making no effort because they're all actually terrible at keeping secrets, and whenever diana wants to know someone's identity she just asks bruce and it never occurs to him not to tell her

in this one specific instance i would disagree because i think that no matter the universe the first time batman and superman meet they should lose all capacity for rational thought in favor of becoming catty bitches trying to outpetty each other and leaving everyone around them deeply confused

also this is less of a video game thing and more of a fantasy writing thing but like. i just have to say. if you want your fantasy characters to talk like normal people you can do that. you don't have to make up corny swears for your fantasy to be immersive. you can just say "fuck you" instead of "shadows take you" and you can just say "goddamn" instead of "matron's teats." if you want. just if you want

alternatively for writing modern day fiction you can also have people say “may the gods ensure your suffering” instead of “fuck you,” or instead of “are you an idiot” you can say “have the ravens pecked out your mind” if you want. nobody can stop you.

Anonymous asked:

Nobody is obligated to write femslash as "activism." Actual feminism doesn't involve policing what women choose to create in their leisure time. That is actual misogyny.

Wrong writing femslash is actually mandatory and the only way society can progress forward
