Where rumours start going around that a strange wizard vigilante is casting some form of a Cruciatus curse at people who were known to be corrupt, and that he looks a lot like a timid Gryffindor student - but it can’t be him, surely.
Where Yugi figures out that the Millenium Item he holds so dearly is an amplified Horcrux, since the souls of so many people went in to forge it, and it holds a part of someone’s soul on earth, he understands the meaning behind his lapses in memory, and worse, why two of his classmates are have been behaving quite strangely recently…
Where, even though, a Horcrux is a thing of darkness, even though they are too powerful, even though they have caused so much misery, the spirit trapped inside Yugi’s Item is, in his core, a good person, and that they are connected in ways deeper than what meets the eye, and that they can make something good out of something bad.
And where they are going to have to, because they’re about to face dark forces they could never imagine…
