The fifty pound (£) note that will never be
USA coming to terms with its’ past
From New Yorker
“In Of Mice and Men I learnt about the victim and how our actions have an impact on other people. In Jude the Obscure, I learnt to love and grieve at the same time.”
So, you think you are too young to become a magistrate? Hear Lukes’ story (link to BBC), he joined the Bench aged 20 years (he is now just 23). Magistrates decide the majority of all criminal cases that enter the courts, many adoption cases, adjudicate appeals from Local Authorities and enforce payment of fines. Most magistrates have no legal training but are trained and mentored into the role. If you want a rewarding role within your own community, are of good character and have an interest in justice then this might be the role for you.
