Just be yourself, and don't stress. Have fun, and tell people you love them.

OMG WHAT IF FAIRY TAIL WENT ALL HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER SHIT ON US AND LUCY'S INNER DIALOGUE THAT WERE GETTING BACK ALL JUST ENDS UP BEING A STORY TO HER KIDS AND FAIRY TAIL MIGHT ACTUALLY HAVE A HAPPY ENDING

10 Reasons Why Juvia Lockser Needs More Love

Juvia is a very popular FT character, but she also gets a ton of hate. Most of this stems from shipping preferences, unfortunately. But, I also think a lot of the arguments against her are unfair, and/or completely biased and hypocritical. This list is simply explaining why I love her, and why I think there’s so much more depth to her character than many people give her credit for.

Juvia has one of the most relatable backstories of any of the FT characters. She was ostracized and shunned by people for something she couldn’t help, which led to her being depressed, lonely, and insecure. Juvia spent 17 years surrounded by rain, which reflected her inner sadness. She didn’t have friends or family, and she was in a guild that valued power and money, over friendship and bonds. She was recruited for her power, and that’s all Master Jose seemed to appreciate her for. She never knew love, kindness, or true acceptance until she joined Fairy Tail. 17 years is a long time to feel so alone. And yet she loves just a fiercely, and deeply as any other character in FT.

As much as Juvia fell in love with Gray, she also fell in love with Fairy Tail. I think FT was everything she wished Phantom Lord would have been for her. In other words, a family. When she first met Gray, and he was so protective over a friend and guild mate, it was this, more than anything, that attracted her to him, and what led her to want to join up. She said it herself when she was in her possessed state, fighting Lucy:

“Juvia has truly come to love Fairy Tail…It seems so friendly… so fun… so warm…. As though, even if it’s raining outside, in the guild the sun is always shining."

Fairy Tail is her sun.

Not only that, but she was the only one in the battle of Fairy Tail, who did not resort to attacking her fellow guildmate in order to escape the runes. When Freed accused her of being Phantom’s woman, she took herself out, rather than fight Cana, as a way of proving herself. So that the FT members would hurry up and accept her as a true member of FT, because she said she already loved them all.

When Juvia went to join FT, she didn’t wait for Team Natsu. She left the Tower Of Heaven party behind, and went on ahead. Erza even expressed disappointment in this, because she wanted to put in a good word for her, because she had helped them. Not only that, but Juvia obviously didn’t tell Makarov anything about having helped out Team Natsu, proven by how Makarov had no idea Erza and the others even knew Juvia. That means she marched into FT, where she was still considered an enemy for what Phantom Lord did, and took full responsibility for her actions. That was an incredibly brave, and admirable thing to do. And Makarov accepted her, without knowing how she had redeemed herself, which means her plea to join must have been pretty darn convincing, and her innate goodness must have shone through. ^-^

I love their quiet understanding, respect, comfort, and acceptance of each other. The fact is, we don’t see enough of this BrOTP. But, what we do know, is that when Makarov went to recruit Gajeel, he told him that Juvia had just joined, and she was really worried about him, too. And, when Team Natsu came back from the TOH, Juvia defended him, saying that she was the one who brought him, because Gajeel always seemed so lonely, and she couldn’t bear to just leave him.

Even before either of them joined FT, Juvia was calling Gajeel "Gajeel-kun,” which means she felt closer to him than the other Phantom Lord members. Juvia obviously saw the kindness and loneliness in him, that a lot of other people didn’t, and related to, and cared for him because of it. I also believe the fact that she brought up Gajeel to Makarov at all, after the destruction he caused to FT, and the harm he inflicted on it’s members, is pretty amazing. For all she knew, it could have affected her own membership status, so she was essentially putting her own future with FT on the line, for Gajeel. And once he did join, she encouraged him to try and fit in, and even cheered him on. If not for Juvia, there probably would be no Gale, and who knows what would have happened to Gajeel.

Juvia has shown again and again that she puts others before herself. When she was first introduced, she truly believed Lucy was her love rival, and that she was competing with her for Gray’s affection. But, when she got taken over by Vidaldus, not only did she manage to break through to Lucy, but she also honestly did not want to be causing her harm. Lucy, her “love rival” was the first person she referred to without any honorific, meaning she acknowledged her as a friend. She told her directly that she thought of Lucy as nakama, and had no problem performing a unison raid with a girl she essentially just met. The same goes for Lucy. They managed to connect, because their hearts were open, and accepting of the other.

Then, when Juvia was put into the position to fight Cana, in order to escape from Freed’s runes during the battle of FT, she chose to sacrifice herself, rather than hurt Cana, while taking out a Lacrima at the same time. So, she was the only one to not play into Freed’s mind game. This shocked both Cana and Freed, and the lightning damage Juvia’s water body sustained looked pretty severe.

“If I have to hurt someone… if I have to injure a comrade… it might as well be myself.”

She was an S-Class class mage of Phantom Lord, and one of the famous Element Four. She was known as Juvia Of The Deep, and Juvia of the Great Sea. Judging by how she noticed that Simon was actually not trying to kill Gray during the TOH arc, because she had knowledge of how darkness magic worked, shows that she’s also smart, and experienced. She mentioned that when she was in Phantom Lord, she helped take down several dark guilds. According to Mashima, she is the 3rd strongest woman in Fairy Tail (competing with Cana for the spot).  And she qualified for the FT S-class exam within, what seemed, a few short months of having joined.

The fact is, she doesn’t get to show her true power enough in the manga, but when she does, it’s awesome, and leaves a big impact. During her Meredy fight she scared ERZA, who mentioned that Juvia was like a completely different person from the woman she fought during the S-class test. Juvia is obviously someone who needs to be properly motivated to use her full power, but if you press those buttons, the chances that you’re about to get your ass kicked are pretty high. Just like most FT guild members, she gets stronger when she’s fighting to protect those she loves.

Not to mention her water magic is unique thus far within the manga, and she has a pretty hax ability with her water body, which is impervious to any physical attack. In my opinion, Juvia’s battles have been some of the most interesting thus far, because they have a little bit of everything: love, comedy, character development, cool attacks, fun character interactions, and just sheer enjoyment.

Juvia is often called a 2-D stalker/fangirl, or a character who is lacking development, and who’s only focus is Gray. When in reality, she (along with Gajeel) has had more growth than most of the FT guild members during the course of the manga. Because she was a former villain turned good, a lot of her development happened early on, but she has gone through subtle changes in every arc she has appeared, and many of her major moments have been Gray-free, and have shown huge depth.

That being said, she’s had two personal goals throughout the course of the manga thus far. The first was to be accepted by FT. She achieved this by the end of the Fighting Festival arc.

The 2nd is still ongoing, and that is having her love for Gray be reciprocated. We saw her go from stalking Gray to the casino in the TOH arc (remember, her guild was responsible for the destruction of FT, so of course she was hesitant to go right up to any of them immediately), and eventually approaching him, and helping Team Natsu rescue Erza. She then became a friendly member of FT, who was simply trying to get to know Gray. Then she disappeared for two arcs back to back.

When she did turn up again in Tenroujima, it was obvious by her reluctance to say outright that she wanted to be Gray’s partner in the S-class exam, that she was still pretty shy around Gray. Once the GMG started, though, she was actively trying to engage him romantically, by asking him out to dinner, or to ride the love slide with her. At the end, she finally, directly confessed her feelings to him.

So, it’s not like her story has remained stagnant. And for a side character, who actually hasn’t had that much panel time, the moments that she has had, have been both powerful and impactful. Her character development has affected not just her own story, but also helped, and even saved those she was interacting with.

People like to say Juvia’s love for Gray is unhealthy/obsessive, but Mashima has shown again and again, that her love is a positive, NOT a negative.

Her love for Gray led her to Fairy Tail, a new family, and a new life.

Did Juvia’s jealousy cause her to continue to harm Lucy during her possessed fight in the TOH? No, just the opposite. She broke through to Lucy, helped her defeat the opponent, and became friends.

And Juvia’s love has saved three lives thus far within the series: Meredy, Gray, and her own. Her whole fight with Meredy boiled down to her trying to desperately protect someone she loved, and that love affecting a girl who didn’t value her life, and who was driven by hate and anger.

“Juvia lives for the ones that she loves. If you have love in your life, then you must keep on living.”

Mashima said on twitter that he had originally intended to have Juvia defeat Meredy with her water magic, but after the tragedy the tsunami had caused in Japan, he just couldn’t bring himself to draw/write it. So, instead, he used Juvia to send a positive message to all those suffering.

Meredy’s whole outlook on life, and character did a 180 because of Juvia. Meredy would not be who she currently is if not for Juvia’s advice. Juvia saved Meredy, and turned her life around. In other words, Juvia did for Meredy, what Gray did for her. And now Meredy is a close friend, with a beautiful smile. ^__^

Mashima also said that he introduced Juvia into the manga so that it wouldn’t just be battle after battle. Love is a huge presence and source of power in FT, and you might even say Juvia is the ambassador of it within the story. It drives her character more than any other: both to love, and to be loved.

At the end of the day, Juvia is a comedic character. That is the core of her presence within the manga.  A lot of people hold it against her, but I love her fangirling, and devotion to Gray. It makes me laugh. Her silliness is something I adore just as much as all her other character traits, because her one-track mind, and fangirl behavior is so relatable and endearing.

Her whole shtick is basically that she sees love rivals everywhere, when in reality, she has no love rival. Her fantasies are hilarious, and range from imagining Lucy trying to seduce Gray, Gray’s words being misconstrued as something a lot more romantic (and sometimes sexual), and recently thinking of Gray in “Boy’s Love” scenarios.

Plus, Juvia is now incredibly open about her affection for Gray (who’s a emotionally private person), so her advances towards him usually lead to humorous reactions, and cause the usually cool ice mage, to crack his icy shell in embarrassment. ^-^

Juvia didn’t become my favorite character (she wasn’t even on the list) until her Meredy fight, I did not ship Gruvia until the Tenroujima arc, and Gruvia did not become my OTP, until Gruvia became Gruvion with the addition of Lyon. The reason for all of those things, is that I did not take Juvia seriously. I took her at face value: She was comedy relief, and so was her “crush” on Gray. I liked her, but I also completely dismissed her. However, once she had the Meredy fight, in my opinion, it became obvious that a) Juvia’s love for Gray was sincere and immense, and b) that Mashima would not have had this girl go through hell, not to make the feelings mutual by the end of the manga.

You see, I actually dislike one-sided love. I can’t ship something, where there isn’t a chance that the feelings will become mutual at some point. And, the events in Tenroujima hinted strongly from both Juvia AND Gray’s side, that Mashima was developing this relationship to become something substantial. And this hinting became even more obvious in the GMG arc with the introduction of Lyon’s affection for Juvia, in order to further bring Gray’s feelings to the forefront. And because all of these things took me by surprise, it made me love the pair even more.

Gruvia, to me, is funny, romantic, and powerful. The “will they, or wont they” tease is interesting and fun. I love the dynamics between Gray and Juvia, a couple of opposites (an emotionally closed-off person with a stripping habit versus an emotionally open person who’s shy about her body, and has a past stalking habit), who affect each other in ways no one else can. In other words, the tsundere and the fangirl.

But, even beyond the comedic elements, there’s so much else to love about this pair. There’s now history and build up between the two of them. They started out as enemies, and Gray turned her life around by ending her rain (whether because of his magic, or because she fell in love, or both). He introduced her to her new family, a guild where, for the first time ever, she is loved and accepted for who she is. Over the course of the manga, Juvia and Gray have developed a friendship and bond. Juvia has put herself into harm’s way, and succeeded in saving Gray’s life. And Gray died to protect Juvia without a second thought. They’ve also been connected by surreal situations, both through Meredy’s sensory link, and the unison raid (of love).

Their relationship is deep, and still growing. But they both have issues. Juvia doesn’t have a lot of experience with love of any kind, so she is overly excited, awkward, and overwhelming when it comes to Gray. While Gray has a lot of trauma from losing multiple people who were important to him, and sometimes his way of dealing with his emotions is to shut himself off, and push people away. Mashima clearly has big plans for these two, but in the meantime, he’s thrown a wrench into things.

And here’s the deal:

Juvia has been trying to win Gray over since she met him, and her attempts are becoming bolder and more direct. She is the girl in unrequited love. She has been rejected for most of her life, and the GMG arc gave her one more rejection from her most important person. In my opinion, with so much more story left to tell, I think it’s quite obvious whether her character arc will end on that rejection, or if her love will eventually be requited by the end of the manga.

Gray has had too many people die for him, but Juvia lives for the ones that she loves. ^__~

It's late 'o clock, but have some bat-family music headcanons

Dick: Dick is the 1975. He doesn't take himself too seriously and has a nice butt
Babs: Old Fall Out Boy. Certified Original 2000's Emo™ here.
Jason: My Chemical Romance. Has made alfred promise to actually play Helena at the funeral the next time he dies. Probably had a heart attack when MCRX happened. "If I came back from the dead so can they" Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is his unironic aesthetic.
Tim: Twenty Øne Piløts. Tim has the depth to jam to the deep poetry. "Blurryface matches my costume stop laughing the beanie is just to keep me warm" "what you've never seen me in red eye makeup?" (Protip: singing heathens whenever Dami and Jason are unapologetically trying to murder each other doesn't help)
Steph: Steph is a Panic! At the Disco Girl. Several viral videos have documented a cloaked vigilante belting out classics such as "Camisado" and "Far too young to die" while belting supervillains a new one. "Steph that's unprofessional" "If you love me let me Gooooooooooooooooo"
Cass: Cassandra is really Into PVRIS. #PunkAesthetic
Damian: New Fall Out Boy. Insists that any FOB before 2013 should forgotten. Gets in verbal fights with Dick over it. Gets in physical fights with Babs over it. Gets a black eye over it. Still defiant. "Patrick's the shortest in the group but he's the most obviously superior one" "Have you seen Pete's abs?" "Calm down Dick"
Harper: Harper is solidly in the Halsey camp. Matching hair helps. Bruce gets her tickets for a Gotham city show for her birthday and gets "dragged along" to the concert. Lets just say the batkid's snap stories blow up that night. ("He knows all the words to young god what")
Luke: Luke is secretly a hipster. Mumford and sons, Young the Giant, Fitz and the Tantrums, Of Monsters and Men.
Alfred: Alfred's theatric past means showtunes are his jam. Les Mis, Wicked, the Sound of music and West Side Story are all in his repertoire, with newer shows like Hamilton popping up as he stays at the forefront of what's big on broadway
Duke: Duke is just doing his own thing. Nobody can argue with All Time Low and Paramore, with a dusting of Relient K and Switchfoot. He stays out of the war over who gets the aux cord with the aid of a good pair of noise-canceling headphones.

Batman headcanon that the Justice League holds parties and sometimes they get karaoke just for fun. One (very) memorable year, the Bat Boys get up on stage when Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out for a Hero begins to play. And the boys just get so into it. Tim is gracefully grooving exactly to the rhythm and keeping time. Jason keeps hogging the mic and winking at all the girls (and some of the guys). Damian is standing stiffly in the middle, red-faced and unhappy he’s been blackmailed cajoled into this but he’s able to hit all those exquisite high notes. And Dick is jiving to the music and at the end of the song, reaches into his pants and pulls out some boxers and throws them into the crowd. The ensuing riot for said underwear causes that song to be banned for life and anyone even caught humming it is forcibly removed from the Watchtower. The event lives on in infamy forevermore.

Damian Wayne Headcanon:

Requested: no

Warning/s: none

  • Since he’s vegetarian it can cause a mess in the relationship
  • Like when you two are grocery shopping together he looks pissed when you’re buying meat
  • “Beloved why do you like meat of poor, innocent animals?”
  • “Ummm, because it’s delicious…?”
  • You two have fights about it
  • Never big ones
  • Mostly bickering
  • But when you do have big fights about it he goes on his silent treatment mode (a.k.a. silent bitchy mode)
  • It kills you inside
  • It kills Damian too
  • He loves you and he’s purposely ignoring you
  • He’s the one apologizing
  • He literally makes you brush your teeth or go get a breath mint whenever you had meat
  • After that you can kiss him
  • You take care of Batcow and Jerry the Turkey when Damian can’t (mostly so they can be safe from Jay)
  • “Jason Peter Todd don’t you dare put Jerry in the oven!!”
  • “Buuuut (y/n)!”
  • “No Jay”
  • “Ugh fine”
  • You know Damian won’t ever break up with you for eating meat
  • He loves you
  • And you love him

I am vegetarian. This wouldn’t be a problem for me. :D

dammit-kon:
monkeyscandance:
I am prepared to lose followers due to this, haha. IT’S OKAY.
I did this for chifuyu , who is awesome and lovely and gave me the idea of drawing the Bat Boys in the Lady Marmelade dresses from Moulin Rouge.
Another very fitting quote from Sweet Transvestite (Rocky Horror Picture Show):
I’m not much of a man by the light of the day, but at night I’m one hell of a lover.
why do i find this so adorable
I… I…

Well, it’s actually not a bad look for them. Just sayin’. Jason in white is a little weird, but maybe he’s trying to suggest he’s virginal and pure…

Oh my God Dick as Pink and Jason as Lil Kim I’m DYING!

Other funny thing- Tim curry who was Dr. Frank n Furter in Rocky horror had a role on Young Justice.

You gotta feel bad for Bruce sometimes thou, like, his day consists of “dAMIAN PUT J ASONS MASK DOWN I SWEAR TO GOD’ and “TIM WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT JOYRIDING THE BAT PLANE IM’ to ‘HARLEY WILL YOU STOP KICKING THE BACK SEAT OF MY BATMOBILE I WILL PULL OVER RIGHT THIS MINUTE AND MAKE YOU WALK TO ARKHAM. DO N O T TEST ME. ’ and ‘EDWARD NIGMA THE NEXT TIME YOU SPRAY PAINT MY CAPE IM GOING TO MAKE SURE THEY PUT YOU IN A CELL WITH JOKER.’ then as soon as he gets home and tries to get some rest he gets a call about Harvey being an asshole and robbing the nearest bank because 'Oh it’s February 2nd and I got an aesthetic to keep’ like save this man plz

Bruce is one of those dads who can multitask so good that it annoys you. In the middle of putting a sock bun in Stephanie’s hair, Tim’s trying to sneak in through the freaking window, trying to pretend he was there the whole time but, no, dad Bruce doesn’t even look up, just calmly asks where he was, then tells him he’s grounded when he doesn’t get a straight answer. While giving Barbara a French Braid, Dick decided to be an idiot and almost break a vase, he throws two knifes right below it, they catch it and almost pierce Dick while they do. He gives Cass a Waterfall Braid while he orders that dress she wanted online, smirking all the while. He talks to Duke about how galas go overall while he tries his best to makes Harper’s hair wavy. The entirety of combing Damian’s hair, Tim’s trying to convince him why he shouldn’t be grounded, Tim stops almost every 3 minutes to ask him if he’s listening, he is, he just doesn’t care. He puts the turkey in the oven for Alfred (he doesn’t get to set the timer or season it, just put it in) and the household is way too quiet. He goes outside, catches Damian before he falls into a puddle, grabs Jason’s ear and yells for everyone to come in. He redoes everyone’s hair, two at a time while listening to excuses. He struggles to get Jason into his suit. Jason really doesn’t want to come. It’s a miracle he could convince him into the suit, let alone into the car. He drives while simultaneously convincing Damian to take a quick nap, yelling at Jason to chill, reciting his lines, telling Tim to cheer up and “DICK DO NOT OPEN THE ROOF OR I WILL PUSH YOU OUT. STEPHANIE IF YOU HELP HIM YOU CAN WALK TOO.” During the gala he makes sure there’s no underage drinking, which is hard because he keeps forgetting Jason is only 20, Tim is upset, Stephanie is REALLY curious, and Damian thinks he’s 30. Someone nearly tricked Cass into drinking, tried to DRUG her, so, sadly, there was violence, committed by the same mom who told them the entire car ride not to punch anyone, no matter how much they wanted to. Bruce has to slyly cut his speech in half because no one except him noticed Dick falling off the balcony. When he gets home he puts Tim’s hair into a man-bun and watches his masterpieces go unraveled. “I won’t kill you if you drop that tie on the floor, but Alfred will.” He finishes a couple of things for work and answers the random questions his kids keep coming in to ask for some reason. The rest of the night he watches movies with his children, and, for once, he doesn’t need to multitask. Until a fight breaks out, Barbara sees a rat, and Damian cries over the dying dog.

The more I become entrenched in Batman and the community, the more I’m realizing that a good portion of the fandom is just like me: a bunch of losers who don’t care about mean angry Bruce, but instead are obsessed with him as Dadman with his trail of orphans following behind him. We ship him platonically SO HARD with other JLA members doing friend stuff and we literally lose our shit over the slightest hint of Daddybats.

This is the batman fandom, we cry over a loser dad with his kids and co-workers and every now and again we remember he is a dark crimefighter.

Batman had no idea that ‘Hangry’ was even a thing until he had kids. Whenever a villain shrugged and said ‘I was hungry.’ When asked why they blew up a building Batman just shook his head and walked away.

Then kids happened.

Now he knows that once 3 am hits the hunger pangs start and every single one of his kids gets irritable and impulsive. In fact half of the stories that hit the press about the Batkids falling out with each other was because Batman had lost track of time and forgot the snacks.

Batman sighs and glances up from where he was brooding on a gargoyle to see Jason and Dick fighting like cat and dog. Tim and Damian were closing in on full on warfare and the girls were doing that weird thing where they seemed like they were being nice but he knew, just knew it was going to end in blood.

'Alright. Enough. Everyone. McDonalds now!’

batman on the cw pitch: an hour show where single dad bruce wayne tries to balance parenting and crime fighting.

“master wayne, there’s a parent-teacher night on friday. master grayson’s english teacher would like a word”

“alfred, the joker just escaped arkham”

“i’m sorry, master wayne, but it can’t be rescheduled. also, young master todd has stolen another car”

April Fools’ is on ME

So I had a dream last night that, following the reception of Batman V. Superman, DC decided that they needed to take drastic measures to rehabilitate the franchise so they fired Zack Snyder and brought @linmanuel on board to compose a hip hop Justice League opera.

I don’t really remember details but there was a 100+ member Green Lantern Corps dance troupe.

Rewatching Friends from the beginning makes me realize that Ross is really a shitty boyfriend.

Fuck all the Ross Geller’s

Fuck all the Ted Moseby’s

Fuck men that we’ve been told we should love by media that prizes the egos of insecure men rather than our own lives, ambitions, goals and dreams. My eyes are open.

I’m sick of the whole discussion whether Friends or Himym is better. Why can we not just appreciate two awesome shows without comparing one to another?

Tumblr: WE NEED MORE SHOWS WITH DIVERSE CASTS. MULTIPLE SEXUALITIES AND RACES. NOT JUST STRAIGHT WHITE MALES ALL THE TIME.
Supernatural: White cast. Straight characters. All male actors. Kills every female who walks on set. One openly gay character in 10 years, who they also brutally killed.
Sherlock: White cast. Straight characters. Mostly male actors.
Friends: White cast. Straight characters. Sexist jokes.
How I Met Your Mother: White cast. Straight characters. Makes sexist jokes every episode. A running joke where Barney Stinson lies to women so they'll sleep with him. He has canonically sold a woman for a Mercedes and pretended to be a lesbian to hook up with a girl.
Tumblr: THESE ARE THE BEST SHOWS EVER OMG THEY'RE SO AMAZING.
The Big Bang Theory: Openly asexual character played by a gay actor. Openly metrosexual character. Openly bisexual character. Two confident female scientists; one of whom is a neuroscientist in real life. Indian character whose culture is discussed regularly. Jewish character played by a Jewish actor. When one of the female scientists was going to pose semi-nude for a magazine about sexy female scientists, the other pointed out how sexist it was and how they'd never consider doing that article on men. When a guy tried to kiss one of the girls without her consent, she broke his nose. The girlfriends are more successful than their boyfriends and are much stronger and confident than them. Breaks gender roles left and right.
Tumblr: THE BIG BANG THEORY IS SO FUCKING SEXIST. JUST CANCEL IT ALREADY GOD WHAT A STUPID FUCKING SHOW.
