Me opening the sliding door at my house that's a bit stuck.
For some reason at some panels in the newest Delicious in Dungeon chapter, Izutsumi made me think of Tove Jansson character.
i think it’d be really cool if the King in Yellow looked like one of those giant puppets they use in stage plays. the ones that have very obvious visible puppeteers moving them, but still seem so alive. i imagine that the main body seems to be controlled by the dancers, but the tentacles move on their own.
ten years of fighting and when shit hits the fan tumblr instantly has reddit's back. the greatest enemies to lovers story ever told.

Oops, my hand slipped–
None of these things imply the thing transitioned from is lesser or bad, given many of them still exist - and none imply the thing transitioned to is better or good, given many examples of each often go extinct regularly :)
Carcinization is way too overrated, it's like "everything will become crab" except no it only happened in decapod crustaceans. It's a less general rule than "tetrapod -> legless worm thing", which happened to cecilians, aistopods, amphisbaenians, snakes and a bunch of unrelated legless lizards!
Also single cell -> multicellular happens so often that scientists managed to speedrun it in 600 days, which honestly is quite epic.
Yeaaaaah but if I had left out carcinization there would have been rioting in the streets
I mean we're on the crab rave website after all
Making this I legitimately thought Dino -> bird would sweep because *gestures to blog* or asexual -> sexual because humans are horny bastards
I forgot the crab wave
Ok but bacteria + archaea = eukaryote is objectively superior cuz what do you mean we're descended from both bacteria and archaea??!?!?!? That's so sick
whenever I tell people that all eukaryotes are in the group of archaeans called Asgardians people lose their damn shit why is this not more well known
Who wants to see my cat totally brave and not at all scared at the vet

Excellent. Here she is, being super brave:
Best trick I ever picked up. Seriously.
I have also learned this is great for [PICK A COOL NAME FOR A SHIP] and [LOOK UP THE FACTS ABOUT OXYGEN LEVELS] and [WHAT’S THE WORD] and [DOUBLECHECK CHARACTER’S EYE COLOR] and ALL KINDS OF THINGS.
Anything that isn’t critical in the moment, and could be filled in later while I’m currently trying to burn through writing pages that will be lost if I don’t get them out right now? Brackets.
This is seriously the best advice, and it really helps put it into perspective that the first draft is just that- a draft. There’s no reason to agonize over a particularly tricky bit of writing when you could just leave it in brackets and skip to the good parts, the parts you’ve visualized. I also use brackets for [fact-check this], [use a stronger verb], [is this in character?] and other notes as I write, just so I don’t forget what I want to work on when I go back and edit.
This works for academic writing too. If you know where you’re going just leave yourself notes to fill in later. I do this all the time,
barista just asked me "... and who are you?" instead of asking "can I get your name?"
i didn't even do anything
Padme lives aus are always good but it gets funnier when you consider that if padme lives the rebellion vs the empire will be just the messiest divorce in history featuring custody battle for the twins
padme leading the rebels and vader leading the imperials meeting in the battlefield and the fight stops for a verbal argument of galactic proportions
hands u a comic bc im literally obsessed w this
