Anyway, rant incoming.

These comments from the Duffer Brothers are bullshit.

At the end of season four, the group splits open and the Upside Down starts to bleed into Hawkins. And you mean to tell me no one in the town would accept a supernatural explanation? Bullshit. They’d have no choice, but to accept a supernatural explanation. 

Also, why are we talking about what’s realistic in a Sci-Fi show called Stranger Things? So much of this show is unrealistic and deals with the supernatural. And you mean to tell me that Eddie Munson living would have been unrealistic?

While the kids may have not been able to do anything for him, other than hide him, the government would have been able to help him. They’ve known about the supernatural stuff in Hawkins since the beginning. They’ve covered up so much shit. But they couldn’t clear Eddie’s name and protect him? Again, bullshit.

Going back to the government stuff, the lady that Owens trusts goes to Eddie’s home and gets Uncle Wayne out of their when she realizes something is wrong. You mean to tell me that she didn’t know about Eddie being a suspect in something supernatural? You mean to tell me that Uncle Wayne didn’t fight for him? To explain that his nephew was missing and that he was accused of a crime that the government knew he didn’t commit? 

The fact that they only saw two options for him, death or jail, shows how lazy they are. I’ve read fan theories and fics where his story was wrapped up in season four without him dying or going to jail. 

If the two options were death or jail, I would’ve chosen jail because at least he’d have a chance to live his life once they cleared his name because his name can be cleared. As much as I want his name to be cleared in season five, it’ll hurt knowing that it really won’t matter because he’s dead. 

But I digress.

All in all, the way the end of Eddie’s story was handled was lazy. He didn’t have to be a doomed character. There didn’t have to be the tragedy of Eddie Munson. Killing him was the easiest and most predictable way to wrap his story up. 

These comments just prove that they created him so they wouldn’t have to kill a main character. And when you think that a main character is going to actually die suddenly they can be magically brought back to life by Eleven. And it feels cheap. They do the same shit every season with new characters.

Eddie was one of the best characters they’ve ever introduced on the show and Joseph Quinn is so incredibly talented and was so passionate about him.

These aren’t all my thoughts on his bullshit death, but these comments set me off. So, I decided to start here. I have many more rants incoming.

Last thoughts, I am living for everyone’s fix-it fics right now and theories about how Eddie could come back in season five. You’re all incredibly creative and talented.  

This fucking guts me all over again. I can’t stop crying.

They’re telling us they found a way to bring back Brenner, who was mutitaled by a Demogorgon, without any explanation as well as Max because all of a sudden El can magically resurrect people but they didn’t know the government agents could simply relocate Eddie and give him a new identity like they did with El in ST2 and ST3?

I hope this fucking backfires so much that even the Duffers realize they messed up because as long as they haven’t started writing, they can find a way to bring him back. There surely must be a single person with even a spark of creativity in this writer’s room.

The Duffers only need to listen.
