[ in which your pro-volleyball playing boyfriend is asked by GQ Japan to bring his girlfriend with him to take the couples quiz. rules: you (the girlfriend) have a stack of cards with personal questions written on them. your boyfriend is supposed to answer them to the best of his ability. he gets points when he gets stuff right! let’s begin! ]
ATSUMU: straight up accuses you of lying when he gets shit wrong 💀 like he’s arguing with you over what YOUR favorite movie is lmfaooo. but when he gets stuff right, he wants you to gas him ALL the way up. “Yer boyfriend knows you very well.” “You forgot my birthday” “Shut it.” he’s trending for all the wrong reasons afterwards asdfghfdjk #FreeHer
SAKUSA: doesn’t show up.
BOKUTO: is so excited and starts rambling off w/ side stories whenever he answers something right. doesn’t help that you indulge him and y’all are just giggling at your fav memories. even with editing, ur episode is probably 30 mins long but it’s ok, the fans love u guys!! gets a lil sad when he gets something wrong and “promises to be a better boyfriend + pay closer attention” ugh best boy
HINATA: gets frustrated/whiny when he messes up or forgets something but is super quick to ask you w/ genuine interest what the right answer is so he can never forget it ever again. is very attentive. pulls out a journal (you don’t know where it came from) and starts writing down the questions and the correct answers (even to the ones he got right…just in case)
USHIJIMA: he cares about two things. you and volleyball. doesn’t matter which order, you don’t want to know either. just wants to get it over with so he starts off monotonically answering the questions, but when he sees your smile when he gets something right, he challenges himself to do better just for you <3 doesn’t work tho, he gets 1/3 right.
KAGEYAMA: asks you to make him a fact sheet about yourself beforehand and studies it in between practices/before bed. on the day of, he looks straight into the camera and tells everyone that he’s shit at test taking and is probably going to fail. he’s always just barely there. like he’s SO close to getting it right, but it just…doesn’t come out. “Nothing I studied for was on this quiz.” it doesn’t work like that, kags
HOSHIUMI: probably yanks his hair at some point. lmfao he gets so mad at himself!! but also pouty with you. “You’ve never told me any of this!!!!!!!” you just look at the camera with a deadpan face while he’s panicking like “he has test anxiety” bc you know damn well he knows this stuff. gets over it pretty quickly and asks if you want to get something to eat before they even have a chance to say ‘cut’ sjfjshshs
SUNA: doesn’t know your favorite color but knows that you’re superstitious about which foot you step into a bathroom in. daps you up when he gets stuff right. kicks HIS legs into YOUR lap and is slouching in the chair while y’all are going through the q’s. he’s a tease and will try to distract you from the fact he’s missing some basic shit. the producers and fans are genuinely surprised at how well he does. the two of you aren’t though! he calls u his homie and fist bumps u at the end.
WASHIO: ok he’s one of the few guys that gets pretty close to getting everything right. you guys are really comfortable with each other and he’s really respectful and sweet throughout the whole thing. is surprised when he hears that some of the other couples struggled so bad lmfao. kisses you on the forehead before and after the interview and they beg you to let them keep it on camera. you’re fine w/ it but he says no. has to keep up his tough MB image.
KOMORI: the sweeeeetest interview ever omfg. he’s really soft for you and reaches over to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear in the middle of the interview. doesn’t get mad or too upset when he gets something wrong, kinda just hums and goes “interesting, i clearly didn’t know that. that’s cool, babe. thanks for telling me.”
ARAN: goated. literally gets everything right. y’all are on a roll. just straight vibing, laughter, high fives, it’s all good! the shortest interview of all the couples solely because he GOT EVERYTHING right. power couple. thought he missed one but then you realized it was your bad and you forgot what your favorite fast food place was for a second lmao! looks at the camera at the end and tells everyone communication with ur partner is KEY. (period, king.)
GAO: asks you for hints over and over despite knowing the rules technically say he isn’t allowed any help. kicks your shin when the producers turn around before they begin filming and is like “when i pretend to scratch my hair, mouth the answer behind the cards. do it.” LOL he just wants to do better than hoshiumi even if it means cheating on the quiz. you’re a little offended.
OIKAWA: compliments the hell out of you to avoid the shame of not knowing some of the answers. “Your eyes are shining so bright today, Princess.” “It’s the ring light, Tooru.” definitely the type to forget you’re in the middle of an interview and start talking to you about some random crap that happened to him that day. the producers have to cut it out because he’s talking shit about someone asdfgjk.
