Hi my name is Victoria and I’m 25 years old. I like to post about whatever I feel like, but it’s mostly Reylo and Hellcheer

About to call the vet and I have so much anxiety for the phone call omg! Having social anxiety is the worst!!

I just have to think that I’m doing what’s best for my budgies

everyone hates orange until they actually see her in context. "oh it's such an ugly color, too bright!" look at sunsets and autumn, look at campfires and deserts. she's the most beautiful and special part of the scene. now apologize.

To anyone who is having a bad day, I give you this hamster wearing a flower hat.

This post is now ten years old and still circulating. It has outlived countless generations of hamsters and the entire Trump administration, and people still pass it around because this one photographer a decade ago decided to put a little goodness into the world, and it makes me so happy

I actually wonder if Netflix was defrauding the WGA/SAG and that’s why they’re not negotiating.

I have seen this take knocking around. Something like, "any concession at all would entail revealing numbers that the streaming services have never revealed, and that may in turn reveal basis for legal action"

Because like, the streaming numbers for a top 10 show (supernatural) either have to be high enough that the writers should’ve been paid residuals, or low enough that the shareholders are being defrauded

This is compelling to me

And also, even if one did not think it was true, it’s worth talking about, because the steaming platforms will then have to answer to the rumours and that’s movement on their part

Agreed. Even if the streamers are doing things completely above board (which I personally think is extremely unlikely at this point but that has more to do with my baseline suspicion of shareholder capitalism as a whole than anything specific) it's still very... well, Odd.

Like. SPN was and still is a Big Deal. Netflix's own numbers are saying that it continues to be a Big Deal. So... Why are there no residuals? That's not how the vague approximation of the system that was all I ever got from high school econ says that this is supposed to work. So... How is it actually working?

tiktokers who say classic lit is bad because its not relatable 1. thats not the fucking point 2. you've clearly never read twelfth night as a trans bisexual

you've clearly never read Frankenstein as a student

If you're fucked up enough a lot of classic lit suddenly becomes uncomfortably relatable tbh.

This is 100% true, but also: literature is a great way to engage with people you don't actually relate to, and practice feeling empathy for them anyway. I have never been in a battle, but I have cried over the Iliad multiple times because I was suddenly made very aware that every single war has people like Hector in it, who leave their families one day and just never come home to them. Please keep looking for things you find relatable in unexpected places - but not everything has to be relatable for it to be worthwhile.

Not everything has to be about you to be worth reading

"dont die" is my favorite thing to tell people when they say theyre gonna go do something. going to the store? dont die. going to the bathroom? don't die. going to Mars? don't die. going to write an email? don't die. driving to the gas station? don't die. it fits every situation except for maybe a funeral visitation because then i think thatd be a little bit rude
