this is to the guy in the electronics department at walmart who when I approached and said “game” because it was the only word that would come to me, went “yeah” and walked me straight to tears of the kingdom, no questions asked

"Your emotions are here to guide you. Learn as much as you can from them, and then let them go. Don't cling to them as if your existence depends on them. It doesn't. Don't identify with them as though they define you. They don't. Instead, use your emotions to grow and remember, you are beyond emotions. How could you not be? They come and go, but you stay. Always."
— Thibaut Maurisse, Master Your Emotions (2018)
your brain is not your enemy. neurochemical receptor sites and ion channels are a foundational aspect of how your brain talks to your body--it is a response to any available information/stimuli in any given moment and environment. emotions are meant to be felt, read, understood, and then processed.

like terf accusations don’t bother me cause i know what i believe and i know trans women are my sisters in arms and i’ll defend and love them forever and ever but it just makes me realize how bleak the state of feminism is that it’s so common to dismiss anything about feminism as being part of a hateful message. we’re backsliding really badly and it makes me really fucking scared to know a lot of you won’t have women’s backs against the rise of misogyny in the form of andrew tate and alpha male rhetoric. we can’t even discuss feminism on tumblr, the sjw homeland, without getting backlash. that is so bleak dude
This is so real like at what point did i start feeling like for ANY post that talks about women’s issues in a tone that isn’t 100% neutral — i.e., any post that talks about women’s issues with even a HINT of anger — I had to go and check that the OP was like. Normal about trans people. Hell any post about feminism at ALL. When did that happen. When did everyone else suddenly go largely silent about women’s issues except for Major Legislative Events. When did we start treating women being angry about oppression in ANY capacity as “terf behavior”. wtf happened when did we stop allowing women to be angry at men when did we let feminism become synonymous with terf when did we start letting terfs be the only ones talking abt feminism like that’s really bad. you realize how that’s really bad and dangerous right. I need to be able to read a post about feminism without automatically hearing alarm bells go off about the op. I’m begging all of you to start talking about feminism again like actually
i love when they draw a carrot on top of the carrot cake just to remind you this aint no ordinary fuckin cake youre dealing with

Learning to be less reactive is literally saving my life. I’m finally understanding that processing things is not the same as immediately forming a response to them. I can process without feeling pressed to formulate a reaction to what someone said or did or a situation that displeases me. Not that a quick head on your shoulders is necessarily a bad thing, but 9/10 taking a minute to just process could save you so much trouble
funniest art interaction i’ve ever seen
