Look, I know the stalker in Wednesday is going to be a big dramatic thing but could you imagine it's just her friends?
Like they want to keep her attention and have her engaged because they think she wouldn't want to come back to Nevermore without a mystery to solve so they make up the stalker. They all take turns taking pictures of her and sending the creepy messages. They feel a little bad when she talks to them about the stalker and rattles off her theories but at the same time....it's kind of fun???
When Wednesday inevitably finds out, she's not mad like they thought she would be. She's actually really touched, of course her way to express that is to tell them how obvious they were but they know she appreciated it.
It just becomes the group's thing. They plan a mystery for Wednesday to solve with one of them acting as the Big Bad and Wednesday is just having the time of her life.
Of course real mystery stuff happens and the group is just like, "Well gang, looks like we got a mystery on our hands."
Que Wednesday being confused because she thought it was part of their mystery bit now she's excited to solve TWO mysteries.
Tyler: Would you guys be there for me if I was going through something?
Xavier: Nope, absolutely not.
Bianca: I hope it sucks, whatever you're going through.

Wake the Crew Glitch: Reactions/Analysis (but mostly my reactions lol)
after hearing about the hidden pictures during the glitch in this route, I HAD to talk about them, because some moments are getting me extremely excited for what's to come. for anyone wants to know how to achieve this route: choose put out the fire, then choose wake the crew twice! timestamps are on the screenshots so you know where to find them! oh, and quick warning that this does contain spoilers for multiple routes of ISWM!!! alright, LET'S DO THIS!!!
alright, weird one to start on but it was one of the first screencaps that showed up. it's an ADWM reference! but instead of plays, they're books. and why is mark dressed like that? new ego perhaps, or actor!mark messing with us? also, is it me or does the writing on his shirt (located on our right, his left, near the middle of his chest) say... "Dad"?

I don't know what's going on here, but it feels... sad. also, WHOSE HOUSE IS THIS?! anyway, at first glance, I thought this was actor!mark or dark, but a friend of mine pointed out that it was wilford because of the suspenders (hard to see, but they're there!). in his cameo in part 1, he mentions that we'll meet him in a "well-acted" scene in part 2. maybe this is from that scene! maybe we'll get to talk to him, have a good heart-to-heart? who knows, but I'm excited to see him after so long :')
alright, I'm gonna ramble about this mysterious person for a while, so buckle up.
here's some context for anyone who has no idea who this guy is: this is dr. cecil h.h. mills-- uncle/alter ego of arin (game grumps). he's the author of Ghost Hunters Adventures Club and the Secret of the Grand Chateau (really good book btw, would recommend!).
there was an ARG that revealed the lore behind this author's history. if you really want the lore and how the ARG was solved, time stamp is at 5:28, but here's a quick explanation (based on what I remember so might not be too accurate): cecil and his publishers, bradford & bradford, had a controversy with each other due to a fire in a warehouse that had copies of a previous book that cecil wrote. after that, cecil disappeared out of nowhere for a while, until he came back with his new book Ghost Hunters.
so now that we got all of that covered... WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING IN SPACE?!?!?!??! is it possible that he and actor!mark teamed up!?!? as amazing as it is to see a collab like this, I also find it kinda terrifying. both are asshole narcissists after all, what kind of trouble will they be stirring together?
a few side notes: I'm pretty sure cecil is also the voice of the other narrator, since that is how he talks. also, because of his middle initials, could he be the PRESIDENT_H from one of the premiere trailer codes?
and last, but certainly not the least... these two. where the heck is this??? are we in a void? and who's that person on the 2nd pic? I theorized a route where we end up in a roller rink owned by wilford, is this it? (a roller rink can have a diner right, or is that just my imagination?)
Conclusion
For ISWM, I was predicting just a nice, fun, comedic, action adventure like heist was, only with more lore drops and maybe an end to the WKM series. obviously it wasn't what I expected, sure there were a lot of funny jokes, but it was the confusing and complicated parts that stuck out to me the most. but, I think part 2 might be the fun, comedic, lore portion of ISWM. I mean, based on what we've seen here it looks like we'll be meeting new characters and old ones, getting a musical number or two, and heck, a revealing of new lore on WKM, if not, the egos! I have other theories on what's to come in part 2 (if anyone's interested in that, I'll talk about it in another post), but whatever happens, I'm SO psyched for it. I hope all our answers will be solved, and I hope we get to have a little fun along the way.
I love how ISWM characterizes Y/N SO much- normally we’re kind of a passive viewer but ISWM gave us PERSONALITY. All the little hand movements, how we react to things, and how we apparently have such an air about us, it’s just so fun JAJJSSJJD
