My portrait of comedian Moshe Kasher (@moshekasher) commissioned by @Laughfest in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Moshe is now famous in Grand Rapids for stopping a fight by putting a hunter thug dressed in camouflage into a full nelson outside Z’s Bar & Grill.

POLYROTATION: YOUNG HARE

Neuer Monat, neue POLYROTATION. You know the drill. Diesen Monat tätowieren wir uns die Frankfurter Jungs von Young Hare auf die Stirn.

Schon im Mai stellten wir euch den Song “Coconut” von Young Hare vor und servierten ihn euch als nonchalante Balance zwischen Post-Punk, Beach Pop und Krautrock. Ein Track, der nicht nur Erinnerung an, sondern Sehnsucht nach Sommer schafft, irgendwo zwischen Washed Out und Wild Nothing anfängt und auf dem selbst gebauten Weg nach Hause bei Interpol und den PTTRNS vorbei schaut.

Young Hare: Coconut

Das Duo klingt nicht von ungefähr so frisch und roh, gibt es die Band doch noch gar nicht allzu lange. 2011 erschien ihre erste Scheibe über das kleine DIY-Label unbreakmyheart, eine 4-Track-EP, die ihr hier komplett anhören und hier bestellen könnt. Sowieso hört man Marc und Phil ihren DIY-Spirit mit dem richtigen Hauch von Hipness an.
