Being intensely in love and being intensely lonely are very similar predicaments. Each is a drug that makes you feel so high you don’t know quite what you’re doing anymore. Each is full of desperation and nervousness. Each brings you to a point where you need to feel the mere presence of another human being so badly that you would drive all night, even cross state lines just to feel that connection. Love or loneliness will bring you to your knees, strip away all your layers and leave you naked. So whichever one you’ve chosen, I hope it’s worth it.
