WHAT: The 2024 Draco/Ginny Summer Fic Fest 4.0 is the Nth annual writing fest devoted solely to the romantic pairing of Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley! Look, TBH, I don’t even know how many there have been. But it’s a big number, Our fandom ship has been sailing for a long time, so let’s keep it afloat and bring on more passengers!
WHO: Anyone can join! Current, former, and brand new writers are welcome as long as you have an AO3 account! Don’t have an AO3 account? Contact mod Anise, idreamofdraco, or Chromeknickers to receive an invitation to join. Don’t want to write but still want to participate? We seriously need prompters and readers/reviewers too!
WHEN: The fest dates are as follows: Submit prompts May 1st—May 16th Prompt claiming and writing May 17th—July 17th Submissions due July 23rd Posting and reading start July 29th Voting starts August 4th and goes through August 11th, maybe later Awards/Reveals: TBD, likely mid to end of August
WHERE: The 2024-draco-ginny-fic-fest channel on the Draco x Ginny discord will serve as the hub for fest rules and announcements. Stories will be posted on AO3.

All stories must feature Draco/Ginny as a romantic pairing.
An AO3 account is required to participate in this fest. If you do not have an AO3 account, please let mod Anise know before claiming a prompt.
This fest is anonymous, so do not discuss your prompt or story with anyone other than a mod or a beta, and do not post your story anywhere else except AO3, until the fest is complete and the master list has been posted.
Stories must be at least 1,000 words in length. No maximum word length.
If you need to drop out of the fest or need an extension to the submission deadline, please email the mods at dgevents2@gmail.com as soon as possible.
PROMPTING: Submit prompts through the prompting form. Prompts can be as short as a few words or as long as a paragraph. You can submit as many as you’d like during the prompting period as long as they are submitted one at a time. Submitting a prompt does NOT obligate you to write a story. Anyone can submit prompts whether they plan to participate as a writer or not! Prompts can be submitted using your name, username, or anonymously. You can view last year’s prompts for ideas through a link in the comments.
PROMPT CLAIMING: When prompt claiming begins, a link to the list of final prompts will be posted in the 2024-draco-ginny-fic-fest channel. More than one writer can claim a prompt. A mod will send you a confirmation email with your assigned prompt. Once you receive your confirmation, you can begin writing! Remember that stories will be posted anonymously so only share details of your fic with a beta reader or a fest mod. If you finish writing for your first prompt before the submission deadline, you can submit your story to the AO3 collection early and then claim a second prompt. Prompt claiming will close one week before the submission deadline.

Through A Spell, Darkly is up! A one shot speculative AU fic taking off from Chapter 31 of Aradia’s amazing Restitution In Absentia, this just seemed to write itself. :P A cookie:
“Draco Malfoy stood before Voldemort, his back ramrod straight in his black robes. In his mind, he was cowering. Groveling, really. I’m such a coward, he thought. But he knew, even before he really had any way to know, that this meeting was unlike any of the others, and dangerous in a way that none of them had been.
They were standing in the formal drawing room, the room of his home that was forever ruined for him. He never wanted to go into this peach and blue room on his own again. It was tainted by the memories of everything he had been forced to watch and forced to do here, and all by the man who stood before him now. No, not a man; far more than a man, other than mere man. He could feel the waves of power coming off Voldemort, and they were as dark and disturbed as the waves in the ocean of his mindscape had been. Except that his mindscape could be controlled. This situation could not.
“You have… disappointed me, Draco,” Voldemort said in a silky voice. “What a pity. I had such high hopes for your handling of Ginny Weasley.”
“What will happen now, my Lord?” asked Draco through dry lips. He knew that he should not speak. He knew that his safest course, or rather the only one that held out any hope of safety, was to remain silent. But he could not seem to stop himself from talking, as if a dybbuk had taken over his throat and was speaking impossible words.
“I am removing the girl from your care.”
“What?” he blurted out.
“She will be given to another young Death Eater, one who I believe will be more… amenable to doing what is necessary with her. Quentin Nott, I believe; Theodore’s older brother.”
“When?”
“Ginny Weasley has already been taken from the Manor,” Voldemort said, his tone almost casual. “You need bother yourself no further about the matter.”
The world dropped out from beneath Draco’s feet. He opened his mouth, and a word came out.
”No.”

My fic is now revealed for HP Rare Pairs - Comp Flash the Musical, it is a T rated Drinny fic set during Hogwarts Era based on the Musical Spring Awakening. Each first sentence includes song lyrics from the musical. (If you love Dramione, you will probably love Drinny too!)
MORNING GLORY: a draco/ginny fanfic (complete)
“Mother, Father,” said Draco, his voice stiff and formal as he came up to them. “This is—” “Have you lost your mind?” Lucius demanded. Draco looked evenly at his father. “No, sir. I wanted to introduce you to my partner.” “Your partner?” Lucius repeated incredulously. “A Weasley?”
There was no point in knocking on the door of Malfoy Manor. Ginny knew that perfectly well. She also knew that she was going to do it anyway, because nothing relieved her feelings like a good hammering on a door. Not that this was going to help, particularly, when it came to an issue like this.
She flung open the gate and stomped down the winding front drive, glaring fiercely at the beautiful spreading cedar trees lining either side. The manor itself was a massive block of honey-colored stone, Jacobeathean style, its towers, gables, parapets, balustrades, and chimneystacks glowing softly in the afternoon sunlight. A flag with the Malfoy dragon crest flew from a turret. The beauty of the home only made her angrier. She strode up to the huge front door, casting the bronze dragons on either side a suspicious glance, and banged the knocker up and down as hard as she could.
Truth be told, she wouldn’t have been surprised to get no answer at all. She was already a bit shocked that the entire grounds weren’t spelled to specifically keep Weasleys out. Alternately, she might have expected a supercilious butler elf sniffily informing her that no blood traitors were allowed. But the door opened on her first knock. And on the other side stood no other than Draco Malfoy, hands casually thrust into his pockets, favoring her with a slight, amused smile.
“Why did you answer the door?” she blurted.
He raised one elegantly sculpted eyebrow. “It is my house, a fact of which you surely must be aware, Weasley.” “
Well—er—never mind that.” Ginny was already feeling flustered. He’d caught her off guard, which was something that Malfoy seemed capable of doing all too often.
“Care for a biscuit?” he asked. “It’s almost teatime.”
“No, I don’t want a biscuit! You KNOW what I want.”
He looked her up and down in leisurely fashion, which gave her just enough time to curse her choice of words. “And that would be…?”
“I want to talk to you about this stupid witch’s curse! The one that’s forcing me to date my worst enemy’s sibling.”
