#I still think about this movie all the time#a lot of people are surprised when I list this as one of my favorite movies#mostly because I tend to only watch comedies or horror#but I do like to partake in the occasional heart shattering tragedy#anyways I just caught another cold so it’s time to rewatch this movie methinks

hello new D&D movie fans who are writing fic! we’re glad you’re here. as a semi experienced D&D player I feel the need to make a PSA. to wit: while they may appear to be viable options, the Grease spell, and by extension the Oil of Slipperiness, generate enough grease to cover ten square feet or an entire humanoid. this is too much grease! unmanageable and unsexy quantities of grease. “can’t get anything done because we’re sliding around too much” quantities of grease. please opt for mundane lubricants. thank you for your time
#I love how so many dnd mechanics being centered around just fighting sometimes fucks up the role playing aspect of the world#I think it’s hilarious#also I can’t get the mental image of some hotshot wizard casting a grease spell in bed#only having read about it and the split second where the grease is just a huge blanket hovering in the air above them before it thwaps down
jade and nate are the epitome of “his cringefail looks and swagless personality have captivated me”
#I didn’t like jade when she was first introduced because she was really mean to Nate about not giving him the window seat#just because he was nervous#but I’m over it because they are literally such a cute couple and I’m really enjoying Nate’s arc#lots of people seem to find the arc weird and I agree the way they are showing it is strange but I still think they are doing great#mostly because as soon as we got more glimpses of awkward Nate again#it felt so right probably because we were deprived of it in season 2 of him being himself#just rambling at this point I have many thoughts on Nate and nick Mohammed is fantastic#ted lasso#ted lasso spoilers#nathan shelley
