There’s all the details on the site, in terms of venue and similar.

There’s two ticket prices listed.

$10 General Admission: for those who come to solely dance. $40 Valhalla access: includes other party distractions.

There will be a limited number of tickets on the door on the night, but we’re limited by the Venue’s capacity. We’re figuring out an easy upgrade system if you buy a General Admission ticket now, but later decide you want Access to Valhalla. Who are we to deny you.

So many people have been great at helping at this, so there will be applause for everyone. Jazzlyn has told me amazing things, and all the DJs are killer. I also plan to resurrect my old-skool one-sheet Fanzine Darcy’s On The Pull for an evening to hand out to everyone, which is kind of amore Phonogram move, but it’s our party and I’ll hand out crappily photoed zines if I want to.

The year is 2018. It’s happening now.

Hello friends and long-suffering contributors! We’re very pleased to announce that the digital copy and art-only copy of Iconic are completed and have been posted to our wordpress, where they are free to download. We’re enormously proud of this project and all of the amazingly talented people who made it happen. Our link is below, and just as before, you’ll have to remove the spaces to access it.

We would also like to direct folks once again to our physical copy interest form, to make sure we can account for everyone who wants a copy, and can budget accordingly when printing. If you have already filled out the interest form, please do not fill it out again, but we encourage anyone who thinks they might want one to fill it out.

Hey all! Thank you so much for the incredible response to the zine, you all are so wonderful and have said such nice things. We’re so glad to be a part of this wonderful fandom!

Additionally, we want to thank @heyitspizzaking, we accidentally mispelled their name in the credits, and it took us a number of days to fix the error. They did the incredible Luci Vine pic, which is one of my personal favorite pieces, give them some love.

Hi! While we do not have any double page spreads, there are a number of places in the zine where adjacent pages are in conversation with each other. We worked very hard to get all of our page turns to line up correctly, and feel that a file where these juxtapositions are visible is the best viewing experience for the zine. That said, we will happily create a version without spreads for easier reading on tablets and phones. Both of us are working at the moment and won’t be able to upload anything today, but we should have that ready by tomorrow evening.

Iconic Fanzine: Baal and Beth’s Snapchat conversation

I drew this for Iconic: A Wicked + Divine fanzine. The zine was really fun to work on because all of the pieces were meant to be bits of social media that fit into the world of WicDiv. In issue 4, Baal explains that he tracked down Cassandra and Laura by asking one of Cassandra’s assistants on Snapchat, later revealed to be Beth. He said it only took 3 snaps to do it so the prompt directed that I create two snaps of Baal and one of Beth with the text to be added later by @iconic-zine. 

The full zine is available for free digitally and has work by a ton of other really talented artists so be sure to check it out.

My contribution for @iconic-zine, which is an awesome WicDiv fanzine! Go check it out!! I got to draw Dionysus, my favorite character from the comic! This illustration was made back in February and now the zine is finally out (the long wait was worth it because it really looks great!)  - and you can download a copy at iconiczine on wordpress!

Hello Friends!

Not only are we not dead, we are finished! The zine is completed, and we are talking to our printer and waiting on proofs! The digital edition of the zine is pretty much ready; we’re going to NYCC next weekend and will release when we get back on October 13th. That said, if you’re going to NYCC and want to see one of the proofs, we will be walking around the floor on Saturday dressed as 1923 Norns, come find us!

The final digital version of the zine will include the zine itself, an art only edition, and a screen reader friendly edition. All of the various versions will be free, although print edition may have some shipping charge, we are looking ways to make it cost accessible for non-usa folks.

Thanks for coming along on this long ride with us, and for sticking with us until the end. We know that nine months is a bit long to wait for a zine, but we are confident it’s worth the wait.

Hey friends! This is an internal request for Iconic contributors. Ferro and I would like to make a text only, screen-reader friendly version of Iconic, with descriptions of all of the pages. We have the descriptions for writing only pages covered, but if any of our artist contributors would like to send us their own descriptions of their art, we’d really appreciate it. You can contact us through this blog, as well as our personal blogs, @gen-is-gone and @ferronickel, or drop the descriptions in the final images folder in the google drive.

Welcome!

Hello friends! This is the (official) intro post for Iconic’s tumblr. (Yes, we definitely should’ve made this months ago).  This is the place to watch for updates on the zine. We’re down to minor edits and tweaking the layout, so this seems like a good time to gauge interest in physical copies of the zine. We will also be releasing a digital version, as well as an art only version.

We have a survey we’d like for folks to fill out, indicating whether they’d like a hard copy of the completed zine. The zine will be free of charge, though we will ask that people pay their own shipping costs (and we do apologize to folks living outside North America for asking this). We’re currently looking for avenues to reduce costs to people living outside the US. If you want a copy, please take the survey even if you think shipping would be prohibitively expensive, because we are trying to get a sense of interest and would like everyone who wants a copy to get one.
