If you're in the Philippines and looking for a donation portal to help the earthquake response in Syria and Turkey—Unicef PH has one.

You can send funds via debit/credit card, PayPal, GCash, bank transfer, Cebuana, and some over-the-counter options.

Will post the link in reblog to make sure Tumblr doesn't banish this post into the void.

Here in Manila, 3AM on a Monday, our house is wide awake and celebrating as we watch Argentina and Lionel Messi finally lift that trophy.

Congratulations, kampeon sa mundo!

(The thing about living in a country that’s not big on football, everyone just kinda picks a foreign national team to support during the World Cup. Like, every household’s got a different fave. It just so happens that my family’s been for Argentina for a long while now. So…vindicaaaaation!)

'Sarian'

Mythic Quest's latest episode solidified my love for the show.

Not gonna lie, I struggled to finish S1. It was funny but also felt, at least to me, a bit...hollow? From the first few episodes, I gathered it would be a mildly funny show with an ensemble of tiresome stereotypes. It wasn't bad. But it felt forgettable.

Then in S2, the image of the show I'd built in my head started to crumble. Like, I thought I had the character dynamics all figured out, only for my predictions to be upended (in a good way). Scenes I'd dismissed as superficial filler jokes came back to punch me in the heart. Throwaway jokes? Nope. The random things characters say or do actually matter. For that, they feel like complex, layered, real people. The tremendous amount of care the writers put in them began to feel palpable.

And now, I've made it to S3. There's not much else for me to say other than: Mythic Quest is a great show. Go watch it.
