Hey y'all, I'd appreciate anyone from the UK signing this petition to allow trans/nonbinary kids to stay closeted from their parents if they're out at school. It's obviously very important that children be able to keep potentially dangerous information about their identity away from their parents, and explore it safely in a school environment.

If it reaches 10k votes the government must respond, and 100k means they need to debate it, but any votes are good for raising awareness and profile.

So apparently Reddit execs sent a message to moderators of some of the largest subreddits demanding they end the blackout and reopen or they'd replace them with new moderators.

So r/Pics re-opened…with a new rule that all pictures posted must be of John Oliver. So that subreddit is nothing but pics of John Oliver.

Like…imagine for a moment trying to use strongarm threats to enforce a course of action on the userbase of the malicious compliance website.

"Today, we received a message from Reddit that our mod team will be replaced if we do not open up the subreddit immediately"

I mean- holy shit? Strikebreaker activity.

This is most certainly not the only subreddit that has gotten this message.

A quick heads-up to the Reddit refugees:

Tumblr has a lot of openly neurodivergent people. I'm not sure why that is, but I personally suspect it's because Tumblr has a lot of anonymity compared to other sites, which makes it feel safer to people who struggle with social anxiety. It might also be because there's the ability to create different blogs for every topic you're interested in, so if for example an autistic person wants to make a blog dedicated to a special interest, or a system wants to make different blogs for their alters, it's fairly easy for them to do so. Either way, Tumblr is where a lot of neurodivergent people can express themselves freely when they can't in real life.

If you're neurodivergent or an ally, I hope you feel welcome here and find a community that makes you feel at home. If you're looking for blogs with similar experiences to yours, a lot of tags for different conditions are formatted like #actually [condition], like #actually autistic or #actually OCD.

But if you're from r/fakedisordercringe or any other subreddits that focus on accusing disabled people of faking it, I want you to know that you can't always tell who's faking it just from a Tumblr blog. By publicly calling them out as fakers, you could force someone who actually has that disorder to doubt themselves and avoid getting help until things get worse. I can't stop you from sending shitty fakeclaiming asks to a system's blog or whatever, but before you do, consider if you're willing to risk doing it to someone who might not actually be faking.
