Hilariously Morbid Illustrations by Jon Michael Frank

American artist Jon Michael Frank composes hilariously morbid illustration, which depict a list of existential crisis humanity faces daily. Frank uses a messy doodle technique to express the depression and raw sadness. The illustrations are of composed of daily feelings of dread and the fear of death. The messy handwriting and the scrawled doodles symbolize the harsh reality Frank expresses.

They document the struggle of desire and not “getting what you want.” Their irony creates a satirical conversation, which is easily accessible. The drawings resonate with deep dark feelings, we all face and push deep inside. The dissatisfaction of reaching our goals or the fear or merely breathing and existing, rather than living are explicitly portrayed. You can find his entire collection in his Etsy shop.
