your behavior is not just shaped by childhood experiences it’s shaped by the experiences you have later in life too. you are constantly changing and growing even when your body and mind are technically “finished” with their early development, and of course you are always incorporating new information from the stuff that happens to you. all of this stuff makes you into the person you are now and you don’t have to get over any of it, you just have to be whoever you are, become whoever you are going to be. growing up will happen naturally too, whether you are thinking about it or not. no need to rush the inevitable!
