The cacophonic and colorful This moc was made for a moc-off I'm doing with callanlof and shadowstorm. The theme for this round was to make a bionicle character with at least 17 colors. So instead of making an ugly clusterfuck with poorly distributed colors, I decided to go with some proper blocking and make sure each limb only had different shades of the same tint. I was originally going to go with a gradient but ended up abandoning the idea due to time and parts constraints. Speaking of of time, I had to rush certain aspects (mainly the legs, I'm aware they aren't exactly stellar) and abandon certain things I wanted to do with the moc such as refining his waist and giving him some crotch armor. I will fix these things in a later version however and maybe tone down the ammount of colors too.

I wish I could hold up cue cards mid-conversation with my lore on them for reminders. Like holding up “reminder: I have the ‘tism and was in the Army in my youth, if you give me something that sounds even slightly like a rule or boundary for you I will probably take it incredibly literally” so people stop being confused when I 100% stop doing something around/with them. You don’t need to scrub away everything unique about Tumblr in an attempt at luring in people from other websites. What you need to do is keep being Tumblr. You already have a dedicated userbase who loves the unique features of Tumblr, the features that make it different. A userbase that’s existed for years. Do you really want to throw all that away?

I have to reblog this again because that's WHY they did it. That's why the other websites are doing it. The layout is designed to make you never understand when you're finished scrolling through it or know what to focus on, that is a FEATURE not a BUG and Tumblr is switching TO that on PURPOSE because abusing people's attention is WHAT ALL THOSE BUZZWORDS MEAN. All 'modern' web design is ADHD hostile by design, because it's intended to induce attention malfunction in people who don't even already have it.

Since I won't be home until August, my mom had to take Ziggy in for a nail and beak trim from the vet for the first time. I've always just done it myself, and I've done my best to train him to tolerate it and not be afraid of the pet nail dremel I use to file his beak down. Well guess what!!!

I would like to share with you all some absolutely raw advice my mom gave me about my anxiety today

Okay it sounds bad but bear with me:
Someone owes me a significant amount of money, and has made it clear that they do not intend to pay me back.
I sent them one text to follow up about it around two months ago, letting them know that I wasn't stressed about it and I could wait or do installments if they needed time or things were rough, and they promptly blocked my number and deleted me on social media.
I was kinda bummed, but then, you know. I figured, it's a lot of money, but at least they've removed themselves from my life, right? If I were to choose between thinking someone like that was a reliable friend or paying a lump sum for the trash to take itself out, I could make peace with it. Whatever. Live and learn.
So, I haven't seen them in a few months. Cool. But then I was walking downtown and I see someone out of the corner of my eye just sitting around, having a drink. Don't know who, don't know what. Not paying attention, yeah? I'm living my life.
But as I get closer to walk past them, I see them get up and start booking it. And as I turn to figure out what's up, why is someone running, I recognize the back of their head, and as they look over their shoulder, we make eye contact, and then they're gone.
And I realize
I just got off work. I'm power-walking in what could ostensibly be interpreted as their direction. They look up and see someone they ghosted, who they have screwed monumentally, coming at them with a hundred-yard-stare and what they may not know is a regular resting bitch face. I don't even care about the money anymore, I've accepted it as a loss, but they blocked me on everything so they don't know that. And they went, "fuck this shit, not today" and dipped.
And that would be funny on it's own, but we do not live in a large, heavily-populated area. It's definitely going to happen again. So my question is this:
How long are they going to let themselves live in fear of my stumpy 5'3" ass hunting them down like John Wick or the devil himself before they snap
And how good is this gonna get while I let them

Except, they won't be. Even if they get actual Native American actors to play these characters, even if they bring on a Native American to serve as a cultural advisor, it wont matter. Why? Because Smeyer appropriated a real Native American tribe and twisted their culture and history in her fantasy books for her own profit.
This fictional Quileute Tribe is and always will be disrespectful to the real life Quileute tribe.
The Quileute Tribe is still taking donations to move out of the immediate tsunami zone as of April 2023. Instead of directing attention to this TV series if/when comes out (and even if it doesn't honestly), please consider supporting the tribe financially here if you can afford it.
