Oh this is me.

When I started taking ADHD meds, people around me were treating me like if it was something horrible that happened to me. Even my doctor was like "you know, you can just stop taking them when you want, maybe skip them in non-working days, or during holidays, etc".

I was baffled. Why would I want to stop? What would I be sad about them?

So ok, I found out my idiot of a brain doesn't know how to produce sweet sweet dopamine as any average brain does. And that creates of kind of misalignment between my behavior and what society expects. The diagnose explained a ton of crappy things about my life in a single stroke. You know, those things happened no matter I was ADD or not, so it wasn't traumatic to learn that I'm neurodivergent, on the contrary, it was cathartic as fuck.

Now, science has created this magic pill that teach my brain how to create dopamine properly for a few hours per day, with no downsides I can perceive, so it makes living in modern society go from 'hard mode' to 'easy mode '. So...
