humblezombie ponders

My thoughts, rambles, and customs about doll lines other than Monster High (those are on my main blog "humblezombie").

This is a faceplate that was a free gift when I bought my first PukiPuki from Fairyland.  I originally attached it to a black Microman body, and added flocking to it, but it just never really felt right.  I don’t think the proportions really worked, and her head was really heavy for that body.  (I’m not sure if I have any photos of her from back then... I put her together before I got my digital camera.)  When Obitsu came out with black 11cm bodies, I got one for her.  It took some work to detach her head from the old body (since I used Apoxie Sculpt), but eventually it came off.  I repainted her face, and gave her some fake icing hair.  I thought giving her peach hands might help tie together her peach face with the black body.  Her dress is from a set for Licca's little sisters.  It's a tad too big, but I think it fits well enough.  I'm very happy with the changes to her ^_^

Witchay Babay is SO cute.  I love her soft, white hair.  Her outfit is adorable; I love the painted on striped tights, and gloves.  Her hat is super cute too.  I also like her dark lips and purple eyes.  Gorgeous design overall ^_^  One of the best of Hairgoals for sure.

My first Hairgoals LOL was the very cute Splatters.  I love her bright colors, and the drippy paint and splotches on her (and her bottle as well!).  Her hair is soft and shiny, and lovely colors.  This series comes with a little filter thing, which I assume works much better with phone cameras, but I still got some interesting photos I think.

In the Hatchimals season 2 2-pack with nest, I got a purple Hummingbear first, very cute.  In the second egg, I got Magical Hamstar, who is flocked, neat ^_^

I had a duplicate Lil Soul Babe, so I thought I'd turn her into a Lil Sister for my Court Contestant.  I painted on her outfit and glittered it to match her big sister's.  I repainted her face and painted and glittered her hair.  I also made her tiara, which I maaaaybe should've used smaller beads for, or covered it with less fabric paint and glitter...  I think it turned out alright though.

I made this custom from a Glam Glitter Court Champion.  I wanted her to still "be" Court, so I didn't entirely repaint her face.  I redid her eyebrows and lips, then overpainted her original eyes a bit.  I added more glitter to her hair.  I added more glitter to this dress (it was from Glam Glitter Curious QT, so it was already glittery, I just made it... more so).  I painted the tights on her, and glittered those.  I also glittered the tiara more, and painted the shoes more too.

Ooh, Lady Fantasea is my first "Extra Uni-que" unicorn :O  Her hair is very nice and glittery.  She has a little pink friend with a horn.  She comes with a beach ball that can go on her horn, and a fish she can hold in her mouth.

Sheila Shehorse has a neat color scheme :)  She comes with a horned dragony friend.  She also has wings, and bubbles that can go on her horn.

BunnyHun is just as cute as Chick-a-Dee ^_^  I really like the colors in her hair.  Her adorable hat is fuzzy too.  I like her skirt too, the pleats are very nice.  She comes with a bottle, and a cup of ice cream (or a foamy drink?).

The only little worry I have with these dolls is that the clothes on them feel a little bit gummier than usual.  I hope they don’t end up getting sticky.
